DC Universe online for PC & PS3

So who is getting this? I've waited a long long time to play an MMO on a console. I haven't gotten into anything MMO since Everquest back in the day.

I have always wanted to play an MMO on a console so it could be something I just could jump on and play quickly for an hour or two then log out. PC MMO's seem to be huge timesinks in that you can never really get anything reasonably done in a short period of time.

Anyone else pumped up for this? I am not sure if this was in the non sports gaming section but since it is an MMO I thought I'd put it here.

I am excited too. But I think one of the allures of the more popular mmo's is the loot. I wonder what items/weapons/rare pick ups a dc comic bases mmo will have. If any at all.

Thanks, yea that is PS3 specific. I put PC & PS3 in this one, well the game is an MMO and this is the MMO section...

I played Everquest on PS2 and was hooked playing MMOs on a console. My only concern is that SOE will end up treating the PS3 community like a red headed stepchild like they did EQOA after only a year.

Does anybody play this regularly? I'd love to get an OS group for the Alerts and Raids.. With multiple roles.. Hate trying to do everything with 3 DPS.. I've got my tier 1 set of armor and now starting on the tier 2 set.. Would love to have a group to regularly play with and do Alerts daily.. People who actually know what they're doing..

Yeah I still play on PS3.. Try to hop on every day and at least get a few marks of triumph or distinction.. The game really opens up after level 30 when you can do all the extra content.. Have a beast of a Hero Lightning DPS that I'm trying to finish up his Tier 2 iconic armor and also finishing up my 2nd set of Tier 1 iconic just to get the feat for having the whole set.. Just hate doing alerts and raids with randoms.. be nice to have a group to do things with that didn't play like a bunch of jackassess.. Healers that actually know how to heal, controllers that actually know how to keep power coming back and controlling groups, tanks that actually know how to tank.. Instead of those 3 trying to be full damagers..

I just got it again. God I forgot how horrible I am not to mention I completely forgot everything about my characters.

Can't be worse than my rl friend that I play with.. Him and I both made fire tanks together.. Used a build I found online.. Distributed our skill points in exactly the same things.. When we do duos together, I double his damage and sometimes nearly triple it.. It's always like 55,000 damage to 22,000.. I have watched him and tried to figure out why he's so bad and I can't figure out why.. He's horrible.. We can only do the easiest of the duos together and then I have to find someone else to do the rest of them with.. And he's so bad that I won't invite him to do other things (raids/alerts/etc), because I sure wouldn't want him tanking, healing, or DPSing in my group..

Well my highest level character is a nature healer.

I have no clue about quests and such im on now. Lol.

Earth is probably 3rd in the tier list of tanks.. Ice has insane damage mitigation and Fire has less damage reduction, but more damage output than Ice.. Earth is kinda average and I don't think they have reliable anyway to heal themselves but not sure on that..

I'm probably goin to make a new character again so I can relearn everything. Starting out at level 18 or so without knowing what the heck is goin on is not good.
