I'm on Arcadia too,Templar. My friend plays on Cerberus and Illuminati. It doesn't matter with this though. You can group with anyone. Just need to use meet up so you're on the same shard. There's actually only one server: http://thesecretworld.com/news/blog_...e_secret_world

I don't do the RP thing,I just can't stand people refering to their characters as "toon" every 5 minutes. Plus Longest Journey reference is cool and I've heard the people are nicer.

As much as they say there's no levels,classes and the tank/dps/healer thing was done away with you really need it for the dungeons and some of the special monsters. Also if your healer is wearing a healer jacket or you otherwise know for sure they've filled out the inner ring...put your pets away.

Yeah there's still essentially paths to be a tank/dps/healer. Arcadia doesn't really do the RP thing even though it's labeled as an RP server just an fyi. Friendly bunch for the most part from what I can tell so far. Good to know about the one server shard thing.

I'm still pretty much getting my legs under me with picking skills that work together too, not even sure what a healer jacket looks like, I stumbled upon the decks tab last night and have started to move away from pistols/blood, to following the Gunslinger build (pistols/elemental) just to get a better idea of how skills work together having an absolute blast though, love the setting. Much fresher than your typical human, elves, dwarfs high fantasy that most MMO's are.

It's like a black robe thing with red at the bottom. You get clothes for filling out the inner rings.

Check other trees for something that might be useful to you as well. You don't need the weapon to use the passives unless they're attached to a specific attack. I suggest grabbing Brawler from the Hammer tree. Amina Charge + High Voltage + Brawler = auto crit,0 resources consumed and a 15% damage increase. Use it with Thor's Hammer. The base on that with no elemental focus or SP investment would be 740 damage.

Excellent, thanks Goh, I actually got Thor's hammer last night, excellent skill, does some pretty nasty damage. Also tried Polaris again, made it to the end but kept wiping. Cthulhu is a bitch!

Yup it's a great starter. People keep thinking it's a finisher because it needs 5 resources but that's what the charge is for. It's apparently quite the nusiance in PvP.

What happend in Polaris this time?

I successfully hunted down the bear,Surf Nasty,Lutefisk,The Reawakend and Nattfari.
Though 3 of them didn't have achievements.

Had a pretty decent group, just not enough of a tanker, got to the last fight, wiped oh say 7 or 8 times. By that point I had to hit the sack anyway. That evil work thing and all.

No doubt, having a skill that makes it a no resource cost doesn't hurt either.

I pulled it off with a tank that had 2600 some HP and another with 2800. Or do you mean he couldn't keep the aggro?

I've only done Polaris and the Hell (rising? Whatever the 2nd instance is) one.

Hell was a little trouble but Polaris was cake for my group. Got through them both though. The blade (Hemophage) that drops from the hell one is far and away the coolest looking blade I've seen in the game. Its only blue ql5 though.

Pulled it off earlier with a great group, tank had 4200 health, the healer was spot on. not one group member death the entire instance, it was like a precision tactical strike. Lot of fun. Granted having a few outer ring skills this time through and all QL 3 gear didn't hurt I'm sure.

I think I've finished most of the quests I could find in Kingsmouth, and just headed into the next area. Really love the atmosphere of TSW.

You can keep the look. Buy a crafting toolkit. When you get something to replace it combine it with the kit and you'll get a blade mold. Then put that mold with your new weapon. DON'T combine with the kit BEFORE you have a replacement. Buggered that one up the last week of beta.

A few outer ring skills might not even be helpful. The outer ones often don't even do as much damage as the inner ones but the focus is on status effects so you need to combine them.

Yeah I noticed that, had taken inferno and replaced Thor's hammer with it. Quickly went back to Thor's not too long after.

Just picked up a copy from Gamerkeys.net as well as the Civ 5 expansion for $46 total. Now I just need to get some free time (6 week summer holiday starts in 10 days!)
