    Is this unfair?

    I guess I'm dim.

I just started a new alt (Gnome Rogue Engineer) .... and I am of cource short on cash.

I just realized I can send money and armor from my leatherworker druid character to this new guy.

Is that "cheating"? Or common practice?

I am sure it is common practice. I would not call it cheating because you are not getting an unfair advantage on people. It is just sort of like taking the Cheap\Easy way.

On a side note how do you like the Gnome. I currently only have 1 character and am thinking about making a Gnome\Warlock for my alt

feel free to ask away about rogue, I know quite a bit, and it'll be fun running around with another one...it takes a little while to get used to combos, but they work out well.

also, it's not cheating, I did the same thing with my main leather guy, sending good stuff to wear, and transferred leather to the guy who needed it.

The fact there are no mailboxes in the starting area indicates this was planned for.

In MMO terms, it's commonly referred to as "twinking". A lot of players don't like it much, but I guarantee that if they start over again they at least think about it.

I typically send myself money from a larger character for startup expenses, but then begin earning my own gear and cash by level 8 or 10.
