WTF have you guys gotten me into

I do not have this game, but reading your post makes me remember my old EQ days, I was literaly playing ALL the time I was not working.

I almost became divorced over EQ, sadly I had to quit playing, my obsessive personality could not let me play a game like EQ. When I wasnt doing 16 straight hour long raids with my guild, I was in the Bazaar trading and selling and buying "Uber Lewt".

If you have great self control over the things you indulge in, then good for you. I however could not stop, hence the nickname Evercrack.

I used to post nonstop ANYTIME I wasnt playing EQ on the server boards.

I had characters that were literaly about 4 to 5 years old.

The most Uber guild on any EQ server (reached all endgame content, only to find out that EQ was broken) FOH or Fires of Heaven, as a Guild, unitedly quit EQ, and started promoting this game a year or so ago. They were saying that collectively they were coming to WoW.

I do not know what server they play on, and if they are still called FOH, but if you read up about them, and the insane amount of time they played, its interesting reading to say the least.

OK, I'm done with my mindless ranting, hope you all enjoy WoW, even a tenth of how much I enjoyed EQ.

Man.....I miss my old characters, those were the days.....*sigh*.

The last MMORPG that i enjoyed was UO. I hated EQ and the others...and never really got into any of them, until now.

I can control myself so far, but when i am home just sitting around, i rather play then watch tv, or other dumb crap hehehe

my console time has now been totally diverted to pc gaming time hehehe

exactly! I basically only play when the only other thing I'd be doing is watching tv or playing xbox...This is a lot more productive and fun IMO. I'm settling into a good pace now, right when you first get it you spend all your time in it, now I spend a good amount each night, but only if I don't have real life stuff going on. I'd never cancel, skip, or turn down a real life thing for WoW. This is just a more fun way to spend the evenings you wouldn't be going out anywhere anyways (I don't do much drinking/late nights out on work nights, hurts too much the next day, I'm old lol)

Is anyone running this on a P4 1.4Ghz machine? I don't think my computer has the horsepower for this game.

worldofwarcraft.com says minimum requirement would be 800mhz processor...I think I'm running like a 2.0ish (i honestly can't remember right now ) and not having a problem.

I am the same way. I think I have Thunder Bluff pretty much completed. I have moved on to the Crossroads right now. I know that the Druid trainer in TB has a mission for me though as he had a ! above his head as I was logging off last night.

Let me know if anything in your current area trips you up Eddie as I have it all cleared for now
