Re: CoH: Issue 3 is Live!

I have emailed support to confirm that the respec will be available to characters who are on inactive accounts.

I will probably re-up for a month tonight. Been missing Paragon City.

(I'm not leaving WoW. Just entered another 2 month gamecard, so I am set thru near the end of March.)

Cool and welcome back...At least for a little while. If you get to respec all you have to do is type in "/respec" and you will begin. If you are on tonight and want to team, send a tell to Raysin and I'll get someone around your lvl. I've got a Ill/Storm Controller at lvl 14 that I want to level up.

Forgot to mention that Mea Akua did his respec last night and it really made a difference. Before Respec I had a ton of END issues. Now with Stamina 4 sloted, I'm a mini-blaster with shields. My brother and I did a freakshow mission (btw the mission graphics were totally redone) and I never once had to stop for an END break. I bubbled him up and had my big bubble running. I could sit back and shoot till everyone was dead. Lot's of fun playing with him again.

Before Respec, I looked back at Mea Akua and laughed at the power choices and slots/Enhancements I chose. I really had no clue back then...

New patches always make me re-up an account to check it out. I rolled a katana/regen guy named Xander Kain this morning, and holy crap...

They changed regeneration, eh? I barely take any damage now since my bar refills so fast it cancels itself out. I took on 4 or 5 yellows earlier and got down to about 20% health but as I picked them off one by one, my health bar actually started going UP as I fought. Crazy.

I think they did make changes to regen, but I'm not sure what. Injun was a scrapper whenever we had one. I did play a regen to lvl 14, but I deleted him months ago. I don't even remember what that build was like.

Re: CoH: Issue 3 is Live!

I am having a blast on my return to Paragon City.

The I3 changes finally made Ulster the character I envisioned: a real comic book tank. Like The Hulk or Thor or Superman, he's more than a damage sop. He fights slower, but each punch packs a wallop when it hits, and he can go toe-to-toe with anyone. I love tackling huge groups, like 6-8 blue vahz (maybe a white boss thrown in) are now sweat. It just feels comic-booky to have the bodies pile up at his feet.

I re-specced him, and gained a few levels. I am now anxiously heading to 18, where I can finally get Burn.

Though I miss a lot of the depth of WoW, I do appreciate a lot of the features of CoH. Particularly the easy communication/teaming ..... and the people to do it with. I just like the community of CoH better, perhaps because it's smaller?

Nice. They did fix the tankers. I think they nerfed invul tank though. I've been playing a lot with my ill/storm controller, Makani. I'll add Ulster to friends list and hopefully i'll see you around.
