In WoW, do you guys team up as much?

I don't think I mentioned it, but I took a page out of Terry's book and got my wife hooked into the game. Life is much easier now that we both "spend time" together playing. The other day she woke up at 3:00 am and asked if I wanted to team up. She just started last Sunday. She's got a lvl 9 scrapper and a lvl 8 blaster. I'm in heaven now!!!!

No, and teaming is the main reason I'm not finding myself playing WoW.

Part of it is no SK/RSK. You need to be really close in levels for a team to work.

Part of it is the world size. While this is a great thing for it's immersiveness and expansiveness ... when it could take 20 minutes to get a team together from the far corners of the continent(s), that really kills the fun.

Part of it is team dynamic. I just don't feel that team roles are as well defined. In CoH, you really need all the archetypes (except maybe scrapper) to have a complete team. I don't get that feeling in WoW, as the classes are designed to be more well rounded for solo play and PvP.

I dunno, maybe it's just me. I always solo in WoW, but in CoH I'm often grouping if I have the time.

No, and teaming is the main reason I'm not finding myself playing WoW.

Part of it is the world size. While this is a great thing for it's immersiveness and expansiveness ... when it could take 20 minutes to get a team together from the far corners of the continent(s), that really kills the fun.

I'm starting to group more in WoW, with random groups, because things get harder...but in general you're right, without SK type stuff it's not as easy to run missions together with a lvl disparity.

Also, my main is a rogue, as is Gear, one of Fossen's guys, and I've found that Rogues are good in groups if people understand the rogue, but otherwise it's crazy...Rogues do tons of damage but can't really tank, so if misused then it can get ugly. Just a matter of finding a good team usually, or at least a team with people who aren't asshats.

Also, my main is a rogue, as is Gear, one of Fossen's guys, and I've found that Rogues are good in groups if people understand the rogue, but otherwise it's crazy...Rogues do tons of damage but can't really tank, so if misused then it can get ugly. Just a matter of finding a good team usually, or at least a team with people who aren't asshats.

Holy F***!!!! It's a totally different thing. I solo groups of 2-3 red con minions with ease. Add a purp Lt, I'm still fine.

White con? I don't even know. White con minions I can probably solo 6-8 at a time?

Lately I've been doing Winter Lord hunts (great XP). Even a lvl 25 WL I can tank for extended periods of time. I may need a heal, might hop out for a rest once, but I can taunt and hold and handle the aggro.

Yeah - I try to explain that they need to be patient, let me get in place for a stealth alpha strike, but ... that usually doesn't happen, and my abilities become pretty useless.

Yeah - I try to explain that they need to be patient, let me get in place for a stealth alpha strike, but ... that usually doesn't happen, and my abilities become pretty useless.

try explaining "sap" to people and they get confused...that can take 1 enemy out of the picture for 30 seconds or so, can be very useful, especially if it doesn't happen to take you out of stealth (sometimes sapping will leave you stealthed)

My Warlock has a summons spell so I can summon anyone that is not in an instanced to me. Kind of like tp friend but I can do it from anywhere. You just have to have 2 other players participate in the ritual.

what race is your warlock? i finally got my computer ad free (I had some sneaky program that got installed which would pop up a window in the middle of WoW, causing the game to kick to desktop (while still running) and usually ending up in me dying)...ad aware/spybot wouldn't fix it either, drove me nuts.
