How long have you been reading Operations Sports and what brought you here?
I have been reading the boards since July of 02. I wanna say i was on the boards a little while before that. If i remember correctly the boards had a major change and everybody had to re-sign up. I actually just stumbled across the forums and site by luck. I was searching for something and it directed me towards this site. I have been here ever since. I'm not a post whore, kinda just post when i feel like it. I really just like reading what alot of the members here at OS have to say about sports games in general. It sometimes help me buy or stay away from a game.
What made you decide to donate to Operation Sports?
I finally decided to donate to the site for a couple reasons. One, was that this site and forums have been very helpful on tips and what not on differant games. Two, I wanted to get my name changed to match my gamertag a bit. Plus my names on all other message boards is Fiddy, so i figured we need to get it changed here at OS. My username Fiddy came from a highschool nickname that one of my buddies girlfriends gave me back in our Frosh year. My last name is Fidak and all my buddies would call me "Fid" and she just started calling me "Fiddy". It just stuck after that.
Your favorite Sports Teams?
1: Pittsburgh Penguins, my old man has had season tickets for the Pens for 32 years now.We live in Ohio but are only 35 mins from downtown Pittsburgh. We go to about 32 home games a year and sell the other9 home games to some friends. although some seasons we have gone to all home games including the playoffs. The Stanley Cup days is something i will never forgot. The atmosphere at the "Civic Arena" now Mellon Arena was just freaking unbelievable.
2: New York Mets, my old man brain washed me as a child. He started listening to the Mets as a kid when they came into the mlb. So it was like i didnt have a choice, I was a Mets fan. It stunk liking the Mets and the games never being on around here on TV much. But thank god for Direct TV and the MLB package. They have about 130 games on TV and i try to catch as many as i can. Also make a weekend trip to Shea once a season to catch the Mets live and in person.
3: Cleveland Cavaliers, my old man again lol. He was a huge Nets fan but when Ohio got a team he started rooting for the Cavs. Cleveland is about a 2 hour drive from where we live. We attend probably around 8-10 Cav games a year. The best times were at Richfield with Mark Price, Craig Ehlo, Brad Daurghty, Larry Nance. Best Cav moment was seeing the Cavs led by Price beat the Celtics and Larry Bird in Overtime something like 128-126.
4: Cleveland Browns, ahhh my old man hates me for this lol. He is a big Jets fan. My best friend growing up was a browns fan. So his family brain washed me into being a Browns fan. Sometimes i hate them for that lol.
5: Notre Dame Fighting Irish, always were on TV when i was growing up and still are. So i think thats how i started being an Irish Fan. My old man cant stand me liking the Irish either. He is a big Penn State nut.
What are your hobbies?
1: My girlfriend
2: Coaching the local legion team in the summer.
3: Watching any of my favorite teams on TV.
4: Wrestling
5: Playing in online leagues on xbox live
Tell us about about your family?
I'm an only Child and it would have been nice having a brother or sister growing up but hey i loved being spoiled lol. My parents split up when i was 4. My dad just moved down the street from me so i was with both parents every day. That was cool, i know some kids are not that lucky. My family is really pretty boring, nothing exciting at all. No big rich aunts or uncles. My cousin and i are tight, kinda just like brothers. We still play the original blitz for playstation lol. Man we had some battles in that game and still do. I'm 24 and finishing up on my last year of school. I would have been done already but i was a jack off my 1st two years of school and got nothing done. I plan on moving down to Char, NC and live by my buddy and work at a sleep lab. My girl will be moving also with me, she will be done in a year to with her elementary education degree. I'm currently working at a local hospital and a local kaufmans department store.
