How long have you been reading Operations Sports and what brought you here?
I came here cause I was banned from the MaddenMania forums around 2003 I believe... I tried to go back to no avail, and I decided to make OS my forum home, and I'm so glad I did. It's so much more mature and such a great community.
What made you decide to donate to Operation Sports?
Well, I don't have much money, being a Senior in High School, but I decided to scrape up enough money so that I could help Steve with the server costs. I know I would be relatively lost without this site, and I like it too much to see it go away, so I wanted to help keep it here.
Your favorite Sports Teams?
I live in southwest Virginia, so it's a given that I love the Virginia Tech Hokies, hate the UVA Wahoos, and the WVU Mounties. I also like the Jacksonville Jaguars*, Washington Wizards, Detroit Red Wings, and St. Louis Cardinals.
*Funny story, I was about 8 when the Jaguars started to play football in 1995, and I liked the uniforms, so I started to follow the team. I ended up liking them so much that I began to bleed teal. As well as maroon and orange, of course.
What are your hobbies?
Other than being on OS, and playing video games, I like to hang out with my best friend Sonya, who is a piano prodigy (she wants to go to Indiana U. or U. Mich... so if you meet her, be nice to her, OK?), and I also like hanging out with my girlfriend, Stacy. I like to sing, and I sing with a chamber choir at school with Sonya, so it's a lot of fun. Actually, I posted a picture with me in my costume from the Renaissance on MM and they, being as immature as they are, jumped on it and ridiculed me. Being only 15/16 years old, and in a bad place in my life, I was trying to look cool to them. I now know that it's not about that, and I sing, so I don't care about what people think now. Although I do like being recognized, but that goes with anything. Oh... sorry about being too off-topic, I got into a rant there. I'm sure no one read it anyway, so I'm fine.
Tell us about about your family?
I come from a weird family. I live with my mom, an aunt from my mother's side, and my mother's mom and dad. My two other aunts live in Mechanicsville, VA and Greensboro, NC, respectively. The one who lives in Greensboro has two sons, one a Senior at Appalachian State, and the other is a recent filmmaking graduate of the North Carolina School of the Arts (by the way, if you ever hear about the fame of Austin Donahue, he's the my relative). My father lives in Richmond, with my stepmom and my brother. My brother is 7, and is very irrating to me, a mature young adult turning into an adult to have to deal with a 7 year old. However, the tension between the two of us have decline recently, where we have been able to team against my dad (who is not a great father by any means). My dad has 8 brothers and sisters, and they all grew up in Fairbanks, Alaska. I was born in Anchorage, but quickly moved back to Virginia.
