I didn't post much then, and I don't post much now... but I certainly remember the migration from IGN to the OS forum. I say forum because I remember when it was just one!

BTW since we are all reminiscing here, which came after which? OS or DSP?

Where they both started up around the same time? I always wondered where the tie in was between the two sites, I never asked but always wondered.

Alot of OS'ers post over at and go to regularly to DSP (myself included), just kinda wanted to know a bit of history regarding the two sites.

They are my top two spots I go to each day for info, then I go to my specific sites, ie: Rugby, UH Warrior Football, Etc Etc.

I was referring to OS. I posted at IGN as VaMpHyyRi, but there was a time when these forums consisted of nothing but Steve and myself talking about every stupid thing we could imagine trying to "Fake" forum activity and make it look busier than it was. Weird things you do to try to generate traffic...

And as for OS/DSP, I'd say OS was first since it had several owners long before Steve took it over. Steve, myself, and Clay all worked for Craig Tompkins at one point, and Jeff Downey bought it from him, and Steve from Jeff, etc etc.

Somebody can correct me if I have the facts off, but here's what I *think* happened with DSP. There used to be a site called sportsreviewers that had an owner with schizophrenia. The forums degenerated into a nonstop pissing match until most of the guys ended up at DSP. I don't know if DSP was already in existence or not, but it wasn't until the death of sportsreviewers that I ran across it.

I remember I first came to these boards a long time ago. Had a username but never really posted that much and then forgot the username. It was Cook or Shredder who told me about the boards back in the days of discussing High Heat Baseball 2001 (or was it 2002?) over on IGN. I recall everyone being in love with that game.

Back from the dead.

I saw Shredder post in the 2K5 forum and saw this post in his history.

BDoughty pushed me away, he was some paranoid dude. After I defended Bamaman, BDoughty basically decided I was his enemy and PMed me some really weird ****. I just left because he just started instigating **** in threads with me, I didn't need that crap.

I still follow this forum from time to time because I like steve and it really is the best sports game forum, just went back and made the IGN Football board my home.

I have seen BDoughty show up on IGN from time to time, Cook too I think, all I remember of cook was the Spock Icon.
