    Interview with BGarrett7 (Formerly RattDaddee)

How long have you been reading Operations Sports and what brought you here?

I guess based on my Join Date (7-19-03) I probably came here originally in search of rosters or something of the sort for NCAA 2004. For some reason or another though, I didn't start posting then. I even remember reading the boards when MVP 2004 first came out and still didn't make a single post. It wasn't until last year's College Hoops came out that I actually started posting, and even then it was exclusively on those boards. After a couple months I drifted over to the Everything Else board and from there I've just about hit every board in between in some fashion or another.

What made you decide to donate to Operation Sports?

I would love to give the "well, I just love the site so much and want to see it continue to be available" response, but it wasn't entirely the case. I really just got tired of seeing my old eyesore of a username -- a holdover from my high school days seven or so years ago that hasn't been used by anyone in about half a decade -- and not being able to have a custom avatar.

    Your favorite Sports Teams?

At the top of the heap are my Braves. Through it all they have been the one team I've always been able to fall back on. Even with the heartbreaks they have given me every year since I was in fifth grade. I just realized how despressing that is. I have had my heart broken by this team -- 1995 not withstanding -- every year since fifth grade, and I'm only a couple years away from my ten year high school reunion. Wow. They'll always be the team above and beyond the rest though.

I also hopped back on board the Falcons and Dawgs bandwagons a couple years ago when the Chandler/Reeves and Carter/Donnan eras ended. I had too much resentment for either of those regimes to ever possibly pull for the teams. With the emergence of the Daves and Mark Richt -- whom I had always envied with the Noles -- in Athens though, I couldn't have possibly been happier to be back pulling for the hometown kids.

    What are your hobbies?

Well, being a 24 year old college student in the middle of planning a wedding, there isn't that much room for hobbies. The majority of my free time is spent on the computer, posting on OS, reading stuff on Snopes, StraightDope, Sports Guy World, blogging it up on Myspace and LiveJournal, and listening to iTunes. A couple times a month, me and my fiance will meet a couple friends out around Atlanta for a concert -- usually one of our superb local artists like Butch Walker or Angie Aparo -- at one of the excellent small venues scattered about town.

Tell us about about your family?

Pretty simple existance right now, just the three of us: Myself, my fiance, and our dog. I lived with my parents until I was 21 and moved in with my fiance after we'd been going out for six months or so. We're currently in the process of planning our wedding which will be next September 30th. After that, the sky is the limit, I guess.

Dayum bro, I can't imagine being married at 24!!!

I'm 23 and a half right now and there's no way I can see myself gettin' hitched anytime soon. Good luck w. that.

Good luck with the upcoming wedding.

I think this may be the most in-depth interview I've read on here. :y4:

I echo those sentiments. And, great interview, BGarrett.

ehh mentions not being able to imagine being married at that age. Truthfully, I couldn't imagine that then either. LOL Funny thing is my little sister got married in August 2004 and she was only 22 at the time. She planned her wedding during her senior year of college. I can't imagine having to do all of that. She's a trooper!
