I'm pretty sure I bought Office for like 10 bucks through my University's Computer Store. So check with them.

How do you order from there though? It says only departments can order them, they aren't for students.

You have to go down to the computer store on campus and buy it, but the prices are all the same.

Our computer store allows you to buy 2 copies of MS Office for $7. They have deals on a lot of software. Its pretty nice...

At IU, office is 15 bucks, and windows xp is 5 bucks. Pretty Sweet, but only supposed to be used for *cough cough* students.

It sucks that our education system tries to take every little cent that we have, so we can get educated. No wonder America is so dumb.

But to help you with your Office problem. You can find a "cheap" one if you search Limewire.

Oh also, if you dont want to go to that situation, you can usually ask your schools tech guy, and see if he'll lend you a copy of Office. Normally they are willing to lend you a copy as long as you dont burn a copy for yourself, and is only used for studying purposes.
