He lives in Pittsburgh, he has an excuse. I have gone to Pitt the last two summers as part of my baseball trip I take with my friends every year. Finding a good place to eat there was a challenge. Plus they still allow smoking in bars and resturaunts there.

I did have a lot of Iron City's in those aluminum bottles though.

There are actually a lot of good places where I live (about 30 min north of Pittsburgh). Just not many in the fast food variety. Seriously the only fast food you'll find are the one's I listed (Arbys, BK, McD's and Wendy's). All the one's you guys talked about earlier, I've never heard of. No Tommy's, no Ruby Tuesday's, no Sonic etc....

I don't consider Quizno's or Subway fast food, but those are a few others that are in this area. Other than that, you have to sit down to eat - which is what I do if I have the time. I'm a big fan of Applebee's, Friday's, Olive Garden, Smokey Bones and Red Robin to name a few.

THey opened a Red Robin near my house. The only one in the state of Mass and that was the best burger I have ever had. Just fantastic.

Everytime I go to Wendy's I get either a Double Cheesburger or a Spicy Chicken.

Primanti's. Now that's some good food!

Basically it's some form of meat (steak, capicola, ham etc..), cheese, fries, coleslaw and tomatoes on a sandwich. Steel workers used to eat them because it was easier to put everything in a sandwich when they were up on high beams.

It's actually very good (except I take off the tomatoes since I don't like them).

We ate at a friday's type place downtown Pitt. Just around the corner from the Hilton Towers where we stayed. I wish I could remember the name of it. I had a pretty good burger there. Plus the aforemetioned Iron City's in those metallic bottles.

I know this is blasphemous coming from a guy born and raised in this area, but I don't like Iron City. I just never liked the taste of it. I'm more of a Killians or Yuengling guy...

I'm not sure of the place you're talking about, but that's not saying much! The only times I'm downtown are to go to a Pirates game, Steelers game, bar or convention center.

I will say this, I did have great time in Pitt. Ballgame, awesome fireworks show after the game, hit the town at night. Got in to a brawl at some cheesy club next to the Hooters, went to some other bars, had aboug 200 Iron City's.

Every summer we have gone to Pitt as part of our Ballpark tour, we've had a great time. And PNC is my favorite park by far. Unfortunately it does not appear Pitt is in our plans this summer. This summer looks like it will be Philly, Washington, Balitmore and possibly New York.

Gimme a break, I have been there twice, both for just a day, and both times while drinking massive amounts of beer.

I do remember a Walgreens and a McDOnalds around the corner. It's across the bridge from PNC.

Actually a lot of locals have told me that they don't like it. I love it, and my buddy who's from Jersey that goes with us, loves IC also.
