When I got home from work today I was like "WTF" my living room thermostat was reading 79, it was hot as hell. I was sweating hard, had my son turn on the Central AC LOL. It is still hot as I type this hehe.

I had AC going since I got home.

Yeah, I live on the coast and it was still 79 when I got home today. So nice. So. Cal truly does rule.

Yet i'm getting all these transfers from our california offices flocking to Texas. They really are loving the cheaper cost of living and the way affordable housing. Most are selling their homes out there and making a fortune, then coming to DFW.

Getting back to the original post, all I have to say is that's not a bad day in the middle of winter.

Winter has basically been non-existent this year. We had some snow in early december then a VERY warm winter up til a couple days ago where there was some snow/ice rain.

We've thought about doing that. We've looked at a lot of places, but wife and I have yet to find a place that would be worth doing that for. So we'll just have to suffer the cost of living in order to stay here.

So I'm sitting in a Holiday Inn in lovely Evansville, Indiana.

It's cold and getting colder. (low is 18 degrees this evening).

It's dark.

It's snowing...and has been all friggin' day.

Back home in Birmingham...I was told it was a beautiful sunny day in the 50s.

If I had to live up here during the winter I would probably go insane.

Now I see why all of you yankees flock to Florida and have turned it into another Northern state.

Nut up and quit whining, you candy-azz Reb! You don't go insane living in the snow belt -- you learn to ski and play pond hockey and love it!
