that's an awesome one Boltman...I don't have any, not cause I don't like them, but don't have anything I want permanently on my body, at least not yet...It's awesome when people get meaningful tattoos that they'll like forever, but the people that get the "Do Not Enter" sign type tattoos just boggle my mind. Who's gonna want that even 5 years from now?

Thanks mgo, yea all of mine are pretty meaningfull, that "do not enter" is ridiculous. But as they say, to each their own.

Here is the one across my upper back.........

What do your back tattoos say? I think the only part I was able to make out was "Pride".

To someone else...I only plan on getting something meaningful. I've been thinking about this for a while now that I will only get a tattoo with meaning and know that I can live with it.

Up by my neck it has my kids names, "Lil' Kev" & "Maya", my son & daughter. Across my back it says "Mayan Pride".

That's cool. The tattoos my brother and I want to get is a design kinda of our own.

We want it to be on our left shoulder...Have twin turtles together holding 2 feathers in there mouths. Then above it say Native and Below say Pride.

That actual original outlining (it was once just outlined, not tip faded) cost me nothing. My umm......friend we'll just say did it for me with his homemade Prison style tat gun. It is a sharpened guitar string glued to a small motor, ran through an empty pen.

But it left me scared up pretty bad (as those types of jobs are always going to do) along the outlining of the old english letters.

Down the road when I had the cash I went to a Tattoo place in Hollywood, on Melrose I believe. I told the chick I wanted it reoutlined, then tip shaded. It took her about 8 hours and it ran me about (this was a ways back so maybe more now) $400 or so I think.

All I can say is that if you get a tattoo, make sure you get one that actually has some meaning to you.. Don't get a tattoo just to get one.. And I would also recommend getting it in an area that is easy to cover up.. don't get it on your neck, or arms, or anything like that.

The only thing I have thought of getting one is a caduceus (the ancient greek symbol for healthcare and healing, it's on all hospitals/ambulances, etc..). Even then, it will only mean something because I intend to go to medical school and become a doctor.. Taking the MCAT in April, have very good grades, etc, but I still want to wait until after I get accepted to consider getting it. Med school is by no means a sure thing.. fingers crossed though.

I would get in on my shoulderblade and only about 2 inches long.. about the length of your index finger-ish..
