iPod dancing and singing
What do you guys think of it? When you are walking down town, at the store, on the public transit, or sitting in class, and you see someone either bobbing their head/dancing or singing lyrics? Or even just mouthing the lyrics?

Re: iPod dancing and singing
I say it's expected. If you can go rock out to good music, I say go for it.
I wouldn't go around yelling the words though. Might be a tad much. :y4:Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

its a respect issue. the world revolves around them in their eyes. they can go to hell IMO.
imo, it looks real stupid mouthing lyrics or whatnot. but if your comfortable with people laughing at you or snickering than go for it. if you can have the mindset of not caring what other people think, do what pleases you. but dont cry about it later on.
I'd tape yourself doing as such to see how truely weird it does look. you may think twice abouting those lyrics. the weirdest is just wearing your headphones nonstop. i actually like to hear my surroundings and dont need music encompasing my entire live especially if its only 10 minutes in between classes.. I have some friends way too attached to their music players, If it were to get stolen along with their computers, life would be over.
maybe I care too much what others are doing. but its getting borderline obsessive.
-walking to class, i could see feasible.. then you have the types using them to workout in nonstop... the drivers on the road with headphones on... eating at restraunts.. going to the bathroom with the music on. I can never seem to interact with anyone. lolLast edited by RubenDouglas; 03-30-2006, 09:11 PM.Comment

Re: iPod dancing and singing
dang this type of stuff has happened to me before as well.... I'm one of the guys that goes every where with their iPod.... Anyways one day one of my really hot friends comes up to me and she says "David, you got to stop listening to your iPod so much... you're becoming THAT guy. And I'm too popular to hang out with THAT guy." Needless to say I decided to put my head phones on and go back to rocking out my music... Oddly enough we haven't really hung out since.http://flotn.blogspot.com

Hell, I do it all the time, especially when driving. I could give a f*ck how other people interpret it.
I also have passed along the habit to my three kids. My youngest, a 14-month-old boy, bounces up and down whenever I play "Locomotive" by Guns 'N Roses for him.
Music is supposed to move you in some way. It's not a passive medium.
Take care,
