    Asics Shoes

Does anyone own a pair of these, or has in the past?

Tonight, I went to Kohl's looking for new shoes, and came across em. I'd heard good things, but never ventured to try any of them on but I did tonight and WOW.

I put them on and I couldn't believe just how comfortable these shoes are. Normally when I try on a shoe, I normally can't tell if I like it or not, and even after walking around, still can't.

With these Aasics, I knew immediately that those were the ones I wanted.

I definitely suggest checking them out if you're just looking for some basic tennis shoes to wear.

I'm a runner and they are probably in the top 2 or 3 for runners. They also have 10 times the value of Nike because when everyone elses Nikes are breaking down, you're Asics will have plenty of miles left on them.

are they flat midsoled? or built up quite a bit like the typical nikes?

Aasics are nice, but I perfer New Balance; especially their 723 series shoe. I found out they were being discontinued so I bought another 3 pairs in my size. Greatest running shoes on earth!

I like Aasics, they last a VERY long time and but I don't find them as comfortable as New Balance or even Nike.
Cameras or guns, one of them is gonna shoot me to death.

my city has this new balance store... shoes are soo expensive there. I can buy two nikes for the price of one new balance and get just about the same amount of life out of either.

            how much do asics run?

I have some really comfortable Nike cross trainers, don't know what style they are though.

if they are recent, there should be a 6 digit style code followed to the right with a 3 digit colorcode... you could google it.. just a FYI

I love New Balance as well. The pair of shoes I just replaced were 991's that I've had for over 3 years. Those were some really, really comfortable shoes, especially after I put some insoles in them.

The greatest thing about New Balance is the width. I have a wider foot than what Nike makes (or most other companies) so New Balance was a perfect fit. I used to get Nike when I was younger because of the name, but I realized they just were killing my feet.

PS - Thanks for whoever fixed my title. I've always assumed that little loop in from of Asics was another "A", making it Aasics.

Yeah, New Balance can get pretty expensive but I wouldn't get them at the New Balance store. I'd try and find another shoe store, you're likely to find a better deal.

The 991's I had were $120 when I got em, but got a discount because I worked at Just For Feet.

And for price range of Asics, it all depends on what you're wanting in your shoes. Obviously, every company is going to have shoes $100+ but those are for people that need a long lasting, very comfortable running shoe (Marathon runners, etc). The shoes I got last night were $50, even though they are $70 retail.

So so true, especially if they're 3 years old and have no traction on it. Just ask MissStFan. I was sliding all over the court.

I have some nice Nike's for tennis.

They are so awesome, lightweight and have pretty good traction on the court.
