    Re: Car Picture Thread

Here's the car I drive. I'm thinking about trading it in for a new car though. I like the Lexus IS 250/350's. Although I also like having this paid off and not having to deal with a car payment.

Maxima's are great cars. Luxury and good performance.

The new IS350 is real nice. I test drove one the other day, but they are priced way more than what I personally think they are worth. The IS250 is also very nice, and it's price is more along the lines of reality, but it's lacking in the horsepower dept. imo.

Keep the Maxima, or at least test drive the 06 Maxima.

yeah, keep what you have. I would love not to have a car payment as I have never paid a vehicle off yet.

Thanks for the advice BK and Heel.

Keeping the Maxima which is in good shape is what the practical side of me is saying. The side that likes toys wants a new car! Of course, the practical side always wins.

I just like going to dealerships and checking out the latest models. I stopped at a Lexus dealership last weekend so that's kind of why I'm on a IS250/350 kick.

Thanks. It's sitting here with about $4k in hail damage right now, but that should be fixed soon.

Love that Z in white. The Evo is my first non-Nissan car, and the only non-Nissan in our driveway. They did a great job with that 3.5L engine (mom drives a 3.5 Altima and dad drives a G35). Have you thought about a twin-turbo kit? There are a couple 350s around here putting down over 500hp to the wheels on the Greddy kit. I'm not quite there yet.

Yeah, I've thought about a TT, but at this point, don't want to blow up my waranty. I am going to hold on to this one, until the new GT-R Skyline drops, then I am going to try to pick that one up.

nice thread...extra props to stick drivers. I'm contemplating buying the porsche cayenne turbo, but I'm not sure it's worth the investment.

Do you own your own house or at least have a garage?

                          neither...I rent.

But I see your point, and want to clarify by saying "buying", I'm leasing.

Don't know why you would buy a $90,000 SUV if you don't own your own place. But I definitely wouldn't buy a $90,000 car if you don't have a garage to park it in.

We looked at the Cayenne S not too long ago. They're nice. But I felt cramped in it. If you're heart is set on it, I'd go the Toureg route, which you can get for a lot less expensive 50 grand, nicely equipped and is basically the same car.

You guys have some crazy rides. I drive a 1996 Pontiac Sunfire, and my wife has a 2003 Mitsubishi Montero. I am not a car guy, used to be, but not anymore. Cars get me to work and back, that's it. I like having only one car payment and a low one at that. In fact, in 9 more months, we won't have a car payment period.
