Need some job prayers guys...

I recently applied for two positions working with the county Parks and Rec. here, both would be working at a park out in the county with a lake and some other stuff (Cane Creek Park) one is for Clerk work and one is for Management and maintenance type stuff (starting pay is $27,000). I was informed a few days ago that my resume was forwarded to the head of the positions to be reviewed...this is after a higher source reviewing them making sure I was qualified then choosing the ones to be considered for the job. I am really hoping to get the one that pays better, but wouldnt complain if I end up with the Clerk job. This would be my first "real" job after college, and will be nice to help me get my foot in the door and work my way up or whatever.

FINALLY! I got the call yesterday asking me to come in for an interview...so I have to go in today at 1. Wish me luck and throw up a prayer, this is my first "real" job interview, all my past jobs were just temp work and internships and work study and other smaller jobs where i was basically just helping out for a week or two...the only "interview" i had was when I worked at the Cable Company and all he talked to me about was my high school football team and my girlfriend at the time...as much as I hope this one will be the same, I highly doubt this guy is gonna care about my high school football team and the fact that im single.

Ive been lucky in that i had only one job interview when i got out of school, and have been with the company now for 6 years. I can imagine its tough on the job front. Good luck.

The waiting is over it seems....the boss called me today and made me a formal offer, so now I just have to fill out some paperwork and get a background check then she will submit it to her boss to approve

Thanks for the prayers guys...now focus them on my roomate (see my other prayer thread) and me finding a great girl
