March of 2003. I registered simply to read sports gaming stuff over here and rarely posted, but since I got back on live I've been more involved. I originally came over for the sports gaming stuff but now I would rank the non sports gaming forum as one of the top ones on the internet, and it's much better than some of the other boards that just deal with non sports gaming. It's frankly opened me up to several new genres of games and stuff that I would never have tried out without reading impressions from great posters.
What made you decide to donate to Operation Sports?
The previews which are second to no other site on the internet. I pay for IGN insider yearly, and don't get a tenth of the info over there that I get over here. I get more info about the games reading previews over here than I get anywhere else watching movies, etc. I love the fact that we don't just see in game screens, but menu screens, slider screens, franchise screens, and the stuff that really makes a great or not so great sports gaming franchise. I've waited to see what Steve and some of the others think about the game before I bought it, plus I love the new format for reviews for non sports games and hope that it carries over to some of the sports games as well. I also enjoy the no nonsense reviews where guys actually sim seasons to see how the sim engine is. That's something that you don't see Gamespot, IGN, and the other big sites doing at all, and it really makes a difference.
I think the admins, mods, and members all do a hell of a job over here, and that's something that deserves payment. I really decided to donate last weekend after Sully and the other moderators busted their butts trying to get Fairdale's rosters up for download. That kind of determination really merits a donation. I had rosters within ten minutes of them being put up and I really wish I could give more than what I gave.

Tell us about about your family?
I've been married for almost five years and have quite possibly the greatest wife in history. She loves football, loves hockey, and loves to game. She even went and waited in line for Madden for me this year at midnight and I played it when I got off at 1am. She completely digs the arcade games and if you ever see me on in an arcade game, chances are it's probably her. She doesn't really care how much I game, or how much I spend on games, so long as she can download all the arcade games and buy them when they come out. I don't have any children, but we do have cats and as soon as the yard is fenced in, a nice Blue Tick Hound dog named Smokey.
