mother f*****. we got lit up monday night now we get this. It's supposed to hit at like 530 or 6 here, I hope I get home in time. I couldn't imagine something any worse than being stuck in traffic AND getting unleashed upon by baseball sized hail.

Re: Worst Storm Cell this Millenium headed towards Southeast
There have been at least 10 reports of tornadoes across the state, including parts of Benton County, Goodlettsville, Ashland City, Dickson County, Joelton and Robertson County.
"It come right over me. ... I heard the storm coming, I went down to the creek bed, and I hunkered down," said one storm victim in Dickson County. "It was gone as quick as it come."
A mobile home was carried across a highway in Charlotte where it slammed into another home, destroying both of them. No one was seriously injured despite the devastating impact.
Shelters have been set up at city hall and the fire department in Goodlettsville.
At the Metro Baptist Church, the sanctuary was blown away, but the preschool area remained safe. None of 35 kids were hurt.
Centennial Medical Center in Ashland City has reported storm damage. Karen Giorgio, with the TriStar Health System, said that the hospital's heating and air conditioning system has been knocked out. Two patients have been transferred to a hospital in Nashville.
Cars have been flipped over near Interstate 65 in Goodlettsville and buildings have been damaged.
Volunteer State Community College in Gallatin has also reported damage.
This really sucks, because I have a friend that lives in Dickson. I tried calling her but couldn't get through.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

Re: Worst Storm Cell this Millenium headed towards Southeast
They just said on the news, that at one point today...there were 17 counties under a tornado warning at one time in central TN alone.
That's absolutely insane.Last edited by elicoleman; 04-07-2006, 05:12 PM.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment

Re: Worst Storm Cell this Millenium headed towards Southeast
We just got nailed here in Northern Kentucky within the last hour. I've never seen it hail so much. Some of them were golfball-size. Don't see that size hail much around here. The sun is out right now but I'm sure there will be more to come.MLB: Cincinnati Reds

Re: Worst Storm Cell this Millenium headed towards Southeast
I live in Hermitage, TN which is 15-20 minutes east of downtown Nashville. All we saw was a little bit of rain and constant rumbles of thunder. The Weather Channel has also been showing footage from our best local station WTVF-5. This is just crazy.Comment

Re: Worst Storm Cell this Millenium headed towards Southeast
WSMV (NBC) in Nashville has reported fatalities with one of the tornadoes there.
And there's a storm cell in Northern Mississippi that's averaging 15 inches of rain PER HOUR. Obviously, the storm wouldn't last that long in one area but that's exactly how hard it's raining.Originally posted by CardsFan27This is the 3rd time John Calipari has been to his first Final Four! What I'm Currently Listening ToComment
