i used to have a light on until I was 23. Then one night I turned it off and since then I've enjoyed the world of darkness.

My parents have one on in their bedroom. They sleep better with it on.

It's VERY COMMON for people to use them.

The last girl I dated, she's 30 and has one.

The long term girl I had she slept in the middle of the bed (and still does) since she's afraid of the monster that will grab her feet. She's 26 and I wish I was kidding about this.

So that night light...
I'd tell that friend of yours too not worry about it.

Seriously though, I just sleep with the TV on, I find it easier to go to sleep when listening to something then there is with no sound at all.

I had a nightlight until I was like 12...then took it out and started to just use my TV....and now I like having it dark when I sleep.

I still can't sleep with my closet doors open though.

Eh, no biggie. I think if the kid were leaving the hall light on and cracking the door, nobody would have as much of a problem with it as the words "night light" imply. Same thing, really.

I always fall asleep with the TV on. It's not a security issue, just that it's how I've gotten used to falling asleep and having some ambient white noise in the background helps me nod off.

my brother had a friend who, when he would sleep over, would turn on our damn tv at 3am.. we finally had to tell him to stop that crap. when your problem becomes our families problem, somethings gotta happen.

he wouldnt just turn on the tv, he would blast it, waking us all up

Yeah...I used to be scared because the entrance to my attict was in my closet and it was really creepy....but we got rid of that and now it's just such a habit, kinda weird haha.

I used to have one until I was about 10 or so i dont remember. I dont think that it is a problem, he has obviously grown used to it and people on here dont seem to think that he is a wuss because he has one. not a big deal to me.
