I had to the other day and not thinking I picked up a four pack for the mach 3 power (whatever its called) so now im using that...the blades are expensive. OMG, I just applied Aloe Vera on the areas, took a 30 minute nap, kept it on for about 1 hour and most of the bumps are barely visible.Comment

i use a four blade and that has seemed to do the trick. since you have to go over the same area less times, there's not as much irritation. i don't like electric razors.Comment

I'm not an expert, but I don't think irritation has much, if anything, to do with razor bumps. They are caused by people with very curly hair shaving the whiskers too close to (or just underneath) the skin and then curling back up just underneath the skin causing a bump. The trick is to get the closest shave possible without cutting the hair too short.
