My Mom passed away 3 years ago, so the kids and I will be making our yearly trip to the cemetary to clean the headstone and put out some flowers.

My wife is getting a Spa package... same thing as last year... but this year includes this Thermal Wrap thing that is supposed to instantly drop like 6-20 inches off of you. My wife worked real hard this winter to get back to her playing weight (pre-marriage and kids)... She'll like this to tighten up.

We got her a new patio swing that she wanted. She spends alot of time outside and in the garden.

My mom apparently wants a panini press, so my wife has been tasked with buying her one.

My wife's family is out of town, so she, my sister and my dad are taking my mom out to the Melting Pot for dinner.

i dont like mothers day and dont understand why its a holiday, but anytime I bring that up im always in the minority.

ofcourse ill fork over like 40 bucks or something and get my mom something, but I definatly am not a fan of mothers day (or fathers day)

My sister and I went all out for her birthday two weeks ago, and said two of the gifts were her mother's day gifts, but we just couldn't wait to give them to her.

I got my Mom and my Mother in Law a pearl necklace.

(I got it in Mexico, $1 an inch, had it appraised up here, the 16" necklace was over $200...he he)

I got my wife an ipod video 30 gb thingy, but i have a feeling I will be using it more than her! For my mother, I got her a new purse, because I think all women like getting purses, dont they?

I sent a card this week; hopefully it will get there in time. My mom has always been a florist, so flowers was always out of the question. I usually am a great gift-giver on Mother's Day, but this year I'm just sending the card. I know she won't be upset though; she worries enough about me as it is. She'll just be happy to get the card.

Since my mom is in Hong Kong, I won't be able to give her anything so I'm going to make a video with my digital camera wishing her Happy Mothers Day and letting her know that I love her.

And to think, this will be the last year that I'm the only one that gets to call her "mom".
