Anyway, I have my Bachelor's in Economics. Still looking for a job though. I want the Carolinas, but since I am in Indiana its hard to find a job in another state.

I remember finding this board 7+ years ago when I was a freshman in HIGH SCHOOL.
So did I bro! I got my Bachelor's in Econ as well.

Unfortunately, I have more school ahead of me in August... medical school starts on the 21st for me!

Spectre, How do econ and medical school go together?

Good call on the being responsible for a family. eek! But there is also more upside to seeing your family (and yourself) happy and succeeding compared to the upside of your "college days"

As I said, I got all that BS out of my system already as far as drinking and girls. I drank til I blacked out 4 nights a week in college my junior and senior year and had more than my share of adventures with girls. I don't want to do it anymore - that phase of my life is over.

I'm an entraprenuer already at age 23 (almost 24) so I'm up to my eyes in professional responsibility and financial responsibilty isn't far beyond. Working well over 40 hours every week, often late at night and on weekends. I'm not some college grad with an entry level job that still goes to Thirsty Thursday every week and drops their work at 5pm every day and doesn't think about it until 9am the next day.

Plus I coach my old AAU basketball team (u17 boys) which takes up Tues/Thurs nights and almost every weekend we're travelling. Not to mention dealing with all the college coaches, phone calls, potential players wanting to join our program.

          Yesterday was a perfect example...

Up at 6am, to my normal office (which is a 20 minute ride) at 7:30am for 3 hours, then an hour drive at to a business expo from noon-5:30pm, then an hour and a half ride to our state championship game up in the northern part of the state, finally back to my apartment at 10pm and climbing into bed.

When I'm not working or doing AAU stuff I'm lifting or playing ball myself. I haven't had a chance to stop and catch my breath in over a month...and I love it.

But different people want different things.

Whatever sounds good or will improve my resume. I interviewd for a Financial Advisor position but that job sucked. I also interviewed for a managerial position with a Marketing firm. My interview next week is for an accounting position with an investment company. The accounting one sounds the most appealing, but it would mean a draining commute everyday, but oh well.

                      Phew, good luck bro.

My mother, sister and three of my buddies are teachers and they all hate it.

And CT is the highest-paying state in the nation for teachers.

Xavier, I thought about doing the same thing, but becoming a HS Econ teacher is more about history than economics which is BULLS$#^^^. So I got real ticked off about that and started applying for jobs.

Bergie, my GPA was 3.44. Major GPA 3.6

I was a slacker my 1st 2 years of school. Not from partying, just lazy. My last 3 semesters were 3.7,3.9,4.0

                              Damn impressive.

But I agree, its common for kids to start out slow. My GPAs have been: 2.1, 2.6, 3.1, 3.8, for my first four semesters at WSU. Well, something close to those numbers. My accum is 3.05, major GPA is like 3.5 though.
