    Losing Weight...

    Hey Guys,

Im 22, weigh 194lbs and stand at 5'9"/5'10"....

My biggest problem is my belly, and my *** (which aparently came from my grandma)...

Anyways, until about grade 10, I had a 6-pack, and just a good body. I would play alotta sports, and eat alotta fruit, and then in grade 10 that stopped. The reason being that I started making money, eating out more, and when I hit university, I gained more weight as I moved away and w/o my mom's cooking, I settled for fast food/fried stuff or pizza, etc, basically anything fast...

So I really want to get back into shape... my weight goal is 180 and Im giving myself 6-7 weeks to get this done. I work construction in the summer so I get home really tired (i work 6am-8pm everyday except sundays). So ya, 15lbs in less then two mths seems like alot but I gotta get this done.

What do you guys suggest? I dont want to join the gym because I already have and I went like 5 times, yet paid 320$ for the whole year upfront. So please do give me suggestions on exercises, foods, and so forth. If this could be fun, then for sure I would work even harder for me to achieve this goal.

Do a lot of cardio and drink a lot of water. Do weight lifting every other day and cardio everyday. Drinking ice cold water helps too as your body as to worked harder to heat it up / burn more calories.

As far as eating, everyone has their own thing. When I was looking to loose some fat I stopped drinking soda entirely, quit on all the fast food, and just ate more healty. A lot of fruit/vegtables, fish, chicken, and turkey. Also eat a good breakfast, most important meal of the day. Also instead of having big meals, have less just more of them. 5-6 a day instead of 2-3 big ones.

        Re: Losing Weight...

Well, 15lbs in 2 months isn't impossible at all... in fact, it's pretty easy. The easiest way to lose weight, is to cut out soda/pop all together. I did that, and the lbs came off quick. I drink nothing but water, with an occasional sports drink.. and a strawberry smoothie (2% milk) per day.

6 months ago, I was around 198... now, I'm at my goal of 172 (3lbs less than my goal). Now, the only thing I have to work on is my abs... I have a VERY thin layer of fat over top of my abs... so that's what I'm working on getting rid of now. I'm 6'4... so I am considered underweight. I just wanted to lose all of my fat, and now put on some lean muscle.

But cutting out carbonated beverages really works well, and pick up a lot more water

I'd recommend eating healthier and turning your job into a workout. If you work at construction, it seems there might be the opportunity to exert yourself there. If you take the mindset of making your job a workout, then you should start to see benefits.

If you're already getting a workout from employment, just focus on eating heathly and drinking water. Juice, while healthy, is also heavy in sugar, as are many sports drinks.
