Most healthy people can probably tolerate a heat index up to a maximum of 120 F for short duration. Exposure to a heat index greater than 130 F for more than one hour can cause heat stroke and death.Comment

100 in arizona with no humidity is a LOT different than 100 when humidity is involved. I've worked outside for a week in Las Vegas with the temp between 100-110 and it was nothing compared to 95-100 with humidity.Originally posted by XboxRocks1991PS4: aBayBates

I just had to put our air conditioner back in the other day. My wife and I live on the 3rd floor of our apartment complex and it's so hot up there. Our 2 cats are always either lying on the cold tiles in the bathroom or under the beds. I just bought them 2 small fans to put on the floor and they lie next to them. And now the've clawed the hell out of the coffee table because the air conditioner blows directly over it so they sleep on it all day.Comment

My wife and I had an apartment 5 years ago, and it only had a wall unit in the living room. It was so hot that summer that we slept the entire summer on an air mattress in the living room. SUCKED!Originally posted by JebbyComment

Its still brutally hot here in Hamilton, they keep calling for rain and thunderstorms but still nothing but sunny skies.
