Received my associates a month ago in information and computer security. I am 18 classes (44 credits) away from a dual bachelor's degree in information and computer security/network security.

beh, your not alone. I burned out and wasted 1 year of community college after I graduated high school. Did so bad I mine as well not even count it as have gone there.

When it comes to programming I don't think there is any middle ground. Either you enjoy it or you don't. I for one did not. I know people who really enjoy it though. I like the troubleshooting aspect of IT better. Just my two cents.
