I'll be the first to say "thanks". Kids are pretty sweet, especially when they do the adorable little things (my two year old came in this morning and told me "Happy Fa'ers Day"). My wife gave me the new DVD version of "Platoon" along with the Special Edition of 'Walk the Line' as my gifts, so I'm set. Watch soccer, pop in the Johnny Cash biopic, drink some beer...life is good!I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be. - Douglas Adams

father's day is probably the least acknowledged holiday of them all. even st. patrick's day gets more love due to the love of drinking lol. mother's get breakfast in bed, presents, a good dinner, and treated like a queen. dads get 20 minutes of peace and a card if they're lucky lol.Comment

I second that! My wife and 4 year old clean the whole house while I was a sleep. It was a great surprise. I took off to work this morning like I do every Sun, I left while my wife and kids were all asleep, about 5am.
I got home to a huge lunch (got home around a little before 2pm my time) 6 Carne Asada taco's, they way I like em', a Six pack of Ice cold Bohemia's, a 750ml bottle of Patrons!
The best part of it was, the entire house was spotless! The fish tank cleaned up, the dogs patio cleaned up, everything spotless!
My Wife and my 12 year old son Kevin (who some OSers know), and my 7 year old daughter Maya cleaned it all up and cooked my my lunch while I was at work.
Got a call from my mom in S.D., and my sis in Burbank. Today is what its all about, you get up gung ho, and charge hard through everyday of life for your loved ones. It tears me up on days like this to see them recognize the things us dads do to keep our family going strong.
Happy Fathers Days fellow OSers whom are proud papas!

Wow, that is great. We went to dinner and had a blast. Some times I forget I am a father, but I love it. Even when that little kid is being a stinker. Like now he wants to call my mom his mommy.
