Where did you go on your honeymoon?

I am trying to find a place for a honeymoon next April. There are a million places I would love to go. For airfair and everything $3000 is the MAX I would want to spend. Any advice?

I went to Paris and Amsterdam. Neither of us are big beach people, but we had both been to Paris before and that gave us some chill time there instead of feeling like we had to see everything there was to see. By the time we got to Amsterdam, we were in more of a sightseeing mood and we saw a lot of museums, history, etc.

Both cities were great and it was an awesome trip.

Do you mean just airfare, hotel and car, or are you including spending money in that $3000 budget?

We were low on money, we did Vegas. I got a great deal, a week in vegas, with flight, stayed in a jacuzzi suite on the top floor of the Luxor. We did a bunch of stuff and had a ton of fun. We took a helicopter trip to the Grand Canyon, and did horseback riding and what not as well. Saw a lot of Vegas you don't always see. It was the best vacation of our lives up till this year

For our 5 year anniversary this year, we did a 5 day cruise to Cozumel.

I would recomomend you take a cruise 10/10 times, just nothing can even describe how much fun it was.

Hawaii... Maui for a week and then a week in Kauai...Best. Trip. Ever.

There is so much to do in Hawaii. We love to hike so we were busy everyday hiking all over the place. Kauai was unbelievable! The views we saw hiking literally take your breath away. There's not a day that goes by that we dont wish we could go back!

One week in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.

No passport needed and it uses American dough, so no currency exchange needed. My honeymoon was in 1991, and it was very nice.

If you're looking for something more chill than St. Thomas, which has some fun nightlife, I HIGHLY recommend Grand Cayman. Went there in 1996 on a vacation. Very laid back, great scuba, beaches and snorkeling, impeccible service at hotels and restaurants and superb food. Best vacation we've ever taken.

But it will be tough affording it on $3,000, especially since it's a British protectorate. It uses the pound, which has a horrid exchange rate right now. One pound equals almost two U.S. dollars. My wife and I did it on about $2,200 in 1996, but the exchange rate was more favorable toward the U.S. dollar then. And we didn't go nuts with lavish meals and other trimmings on that trip like you should on your honeymoon.

Still, Grand Cayman is a wonderful place. Paradise. The locals are very nice, and we felt safe anywhere we went on the island.

Nasau, Bahamas.

We stayed at a Sandals resort. However, i wouldn't reccomend it since they water down all of their booze. Beautiful place though.

Im a big kid, so id love to go somewhere like Disney World, but im only 19 once i actually get married im sure ill want to visit somewhere else.

I actually proposed on Kauai during Spring Break Did you hike to that waterfall on the unmarked trail?

I'll have to look into the US Virgin Islands. Key West also seems like a great place. I went once a LONG time ago.
