Selling Engagement Rings?
Hey fellas, as most of you will remember, my fiancee' left me after 6 1/2 years together. I had bought her a platinum engagement ring for $4399 before taxes... needless to say, now I have a $4399 ring that I don't know what to do with. I took it back into where I bought it, but it's out of the 90 day return period so that's out of the question... but I did manage to talk them in to giving me a brand new ring, instead of the used one... (somehow she had damaged it and the main diamond was coming out)... so now I have a brand new engagement ring, and I don't know what to do with it. Any suggestions other than hold on to it?

Re: Selling Engagement Rings?
Sell it on Ebay. Don't keep that thing, brings back bad memories and you certainly won't give it to the next girl. All else fails, take it to a pawn shop. Something is better than nothing. -
Re: Selling Engagement Rings?
Yeah, I'm looking on eBay at what they're bringing... not much, lol. I'm ready to rid myself of this thing. I know I won't give it to the next one who comes along... so may as well try and rid myself of it soon. I just don't want to get next to nothing for it, lol.Twitter - WTF_OS

Check ebay for kicks and see what a ring like yours could be going for. Stay away from a pawn shop, they will steal it from you.
Do you know anyone getting married that could be interested?
My brother has been burned twice, but thank god it was one engangement ring and he almost was ready to buy one for this other girl he was dating. I'll ask him what he did with the ring?Last edited by CaptainZombie; 06-23-2006, 10:59 PM.Comment

Re: Selling Engagement Rings?
:y4: No, I'm not giving it to another girl down the road... most definately not. I don't want to lose a great deal of money (albeit I already have), but I can accept a loss on this thing.
Most of the ones on eBay seem to be from stores, and nobody is bidding on them. Ah well... I'm staying away from the Pawn shops as well...Twitter - WTF_OS

Re: Selling Engagement Rings?
Don't give that ring to a friend either. The ring is "cursed", ditch it some how, some way. Check out jewelry shops, see if you can trade it in. Some do that, get some jewelry for yourself and maybe family members for Christmas gifts or something.Comment
