The hardest part of freshman year is learning TIME MANAGEMENT. My parents always preached to me about managing my time better, not leaving stuff to the last minute, etc. In high school, I was always able to BS my way through everything, so it never mattered. I was fine for a good part of freshman year too, but then things turned for the worst. Please, believe me when I say that time management is CRUCIAL. I know how it is though, believing it doesn't apply to me, etc. Trust me, you will learn first-hand and it will be a very bad situation. Finding a balance between work, social activities, and recreational/athletic stuff is in my opinion, very important. My major is extremely time constricting, but I believe proper time management can allow me to do all these things, proper sleep/meal schedule, getting my work done, and having time to get to the gym. Don't fall too far behind guys, because it makes it much harder to get back on track.

Originally posted by LiquidCrashI don't know many people who did well first semester either. I got a 1.8 and was put on academic probation for the rest of the year, so I had to get my GPA up. I'm doing fine now, but those first few months in the dorms it can be hard to get any work done.
No kidding. I was pulling a 2.33 my first semester. I even put off pledging a fraternity my first semester in hopes of getting a good GPA. Wrong lol. Got the same GPA in my pledge semester. I'm hoping to bring it past a 2.5 this Fall and then hopefully bring it up a little more in the spring.Twitter

It takes a lot of work and dedication but it is possible, now I've transferred into a 4 yr university so we'll see how that goes. Hopefully I won't make the same mistake twice.Oklahoma State Cowboys 2011 Big XII Champions, 2012 Fiesta Bowl Champions
