Re: Best thing about your city

    Toronto, Canada

Well the multicultural aspect and cleanliness was mentioned so i'll mention something that I think had been taken for granted for a long time until the one day wildcat strike and that's the TTC. (Toronto Transit Comission) Toronto has by far one of the top 5 bus/train access in the world.

It's pretty easy to get in and out and around the city via public transportation. I've lived fairly close to the downtown core and pretty far (at the moment) but it's still very easy to get where you want to go.

For instance, if I want to go to the Jays game I just take a GO Train to Union Station and take the skywalk to the Rogers Centre. You can basically do the same thing if you want to go to the ACC as well.

IMO, Montreal's is brutal. We've had the same metro cars since the 60's and 70's. Have you guys changed yours lately?

Not only that, but there is a shortage of buses, and the new buses are so narrow and small. They don't hold as many people as the one's from the 80's and 90's.

Just messing with you Canadians, dont hurt me.

Anyway, name one of the best things about your city. It can be the entertainment, the sports teams, the beautiful women, the ocean/lake front, shopping centers, etc. Heck, my city can apply for each one. HA!

I would have to say the very best thing about Chicago has got to be the Sports teams. Usually winners in some regard(except for the Cubs) we always have a team in contention. Chicagoans may not get along in such a diverse city but we all come together whenever a team makes a run for a championship, its a beautiful thing.
I agree 100% I love living in a suburb near lake michigan and pretty close to chicago.

ILL is definitly the place to be..Especially when your driving down Lake shore drive going to Soldiers field..it just hits you, you are lucky to be there.

Raleigh, North Carolina (Or the Triangle Area in general)

COLLEGE BASKETBALL!!!! There's nothing like college sports, IMO... This place is on its ear during college basketball season. Most places have maybe one or two teams in the entire state. You've got UNC, dook, and the farmers within a 25-30 area squaring off, and it's just great.

We've also got a proliferation of WGWB (White Girls With Booty) around here, but alas and alack, I'm married, so I can't do anything about it... I saw one this afternoon, when I went to the Dairy Queen while shopping at the outlets in Smithfield.... Talk about stacked...

As far as metro cars go not really, I do believe Toronto is slated to get new trains soon tho. As far as buses go no real changes have been made but there are is a new series on order and it's also the first new order by the TTC for buses in this millenium.

The TTC is still run quite efficiently and there has been little complaint about the service other then pricing for fares.
