Re: What the Hell is on Your Mind Thread

You all ever get the feelings that you should call and let everyone know that you love them and you're thinking about them? I must've made at least 40 calls today to friends and family members, just to let them know. The majority of them, I hadn't spoken to in a while... but I just felt like I needed to call and let them know that they were on my mind.

Called and wished my grandfather a happy birthday... called my mother and father, sister, relatives, etc... and told them that they were on my mind and that I love them.

Just wondering if I'm alone in that regard, lol.

I'm pretty bad at that sort of stuff and it's a problem. I just have a hard time expressing love/getting gushy.

He pretty much lost the game today by making one of the most foolish plays I have seen on a football field. I'm sure it will be #1 on the "Not Top Ten" and on Primetime.

Basically, in the fourth quarter with a TD lead, Panthers completely dominating on defense so far, they force a punt which Gamble fields. Instead of running forward, he walks over to the left a bit and thinks it is a good idea to turn around and throw the ball sideways to Richard Marshall. He was only falling down with three guys around him, so why not. It was obviously not a designed "trick play" since Marshall was clearly not expecting the ball, and John Fox doesn't have a bologna sandwich in his head. Needless to say, the "pass" gets about halfway to Marshall, Vikes recover and go on to score the tying TD. Gamble doesn't help his cause by getting burned the rest of the game and missing tackles in OT.

So yeah, he isn't getting a warm welcome when the team returns.

Hey WTF, was your grandfather's birthday today? Pretty sweet as I turned the big 2-5 today (and no love from OS...what's up with that?)

I also shared my birthday with my late grandfather, who was sixty when I was born.

Yeah, his birthday was in fact today. It's weird the way things work out. As busy as I had been, and then all of the sudden, I felt like I needed to call everyone, and touch base with everyone.

Its the first time that I have ever did anything like that, and I'm normally not one to convey their feelings that much either... It's a great feeling, and I know for a fact that it did touch some of my relatives and friends, as they reciprocated and then called their families as well, lol.

But on a related not, happy birthday JohnnytheSkin brother... hope you had a great one man.

Tonight proves, at least in my case, that a big win by the Cowboys over the Redskins can fix just about anything.

I really wanted to try and get to bed early today...but yeah, that's not happening.

Read 120 pages of Don Quixote tonight...almost fell asleep three times...almost killed myself twice.
