I pay my own tuition and I work too damn hard for my money and I can't make myself just throw away the money each class costs. For pretty much any college anywhere if you break your tuition down by individual classes it's a decent bit of money.

I skipped an entire third of Differential Equations (fourth Calculus class in my engineering program) and aced the test covering said third with nothing more than a passing glance at the material...ended up missing ONE point on a stupid *** mistake in my solution (right answer, one work mistake).
I also skipped nearly all of my Statics class (stationary forces on objects...sum of the forces must equal zero) and passed that class with a 'B'.
But I don't advocate skipping classes. It does get addicting, and it does catch up with you...not to mention profs generally know who is and isn't there and can flag you when you hand in exams, etc. They aren't generous on "borderline" cases when you never show up to class.
*EDIT: That being said, the reading based courses would be, IMO, DAMN easy to skip. I had a few as electives and if you read the stuff, the class was boring as hell. And BP, I also paid for my tuition but the day-to-day labor gets to you sometimes and sleeping in pays off in a big way at times. Question about DVRs for those with it but to save some of the programming from being wiped out couldn't you convert them to DVD? or is that just impractical for you guys?
Anywho i'm off to write my top selections for best CFL Players of all time in a couple minutes. I noticed my On Demand service added Starcade '85 today so I may watch it sometime tonight or do something else. I dunno.

Well I'm bout to be getting off work and I'm going camping 2nite with 5 of my buddies for a good time of drinking. Then Hopefully the Gators dont let me down tomorrow against Kentucky and everything will be a good weekend.
Also on skipping, I never went to college but I agree about skipping becoming addicting..I skipped 26 days my senior year and it became very addictive..almost an every week thing for me and usually on friday. Don't regret it now b/c it made the weeks easier on me but Dang The few times I got caught sure as hell sucked, But Luckily I could get by my classes then.Let's Get Ready To Rumble!Comment

I skipped a ton of classes last year during my freshman year of college. First semester I had early classes and had trouble getting up, then sometimes I would be hungover and try to go and then just say screw it after a class. Second semester I only had class Tuesdays and Thursdays so they were long days and I never went to my first class (which was OK bc it was Geology and a 300 person lecture) and started skipping the next one too which was Math which came back to bite me because I had to get it changed to pass/fail after I found out I couldn't teach myself after not going for 2 months.
But its college, you have to skip sometimes, just because you can.
I came home for this weekend, gotta make sure Heelsman22 is staying in line.Comment

Dang man... I hope your interview works out. That would be bad to interview for a job you already hold. You'll do fine though brother, don't worry about it.
And yeah, 2k7 is worth the wait though.
On another note, Ali was quick as heck... I never really watched him fight that much. He was a beast.
Got caught in the rain this morning. It was embaressing. Came to work drenched. I can't wait to get home and shower.

My team of freshmen beat some upperclassmen 19-12 in the first flag football game of the season. We hadn't looked at the rule-book and got flagged for what had to be at least 30 penalties.
We had a 1-point conversion from the 3 yard line...and on that play,. after two plays, we had a 1-point conversion from the 33 yard line.

Got a call from the record store here (HMV) and the Marvin Gaye DVD I ordered arrived. I think i'll pick it up this weekend or monday at the very latest. It's weird, at the beginning of the week I had very little to watch or do but now i'm overwhelmed with material.
