Well Monday's are usually a drab in the work world as we head into our place of employment. Within the last year, I have interviewed for 6 different positions at the company I work for. It's been one disappointment after another, but back in August I interviewed for a Producer position that I would find out in September I didn't get.
Then about 3 weeks later in October the same hiring manager that told me I didn't get the position sends me an email asking if I'm still interested. Of course I tell him yes, and then the interview process starts again, except I only interviewed with one person this time. After about a month of waiting, I was finally made an offer today. I'm so relieved that it was finally over with, after some negotiating, I accepted the position. After 6 years at my company, I was getting ready to look outside the company if this did not pan out.
Things only get more interesting when I got home today. I was contacted by a videogame site that I frequent where they have news, reviews, and previews. I had also applied to join their staff last week as a reviewer, and they were rather impressed with the reviews that I have written as they are reviews based off of 2 games that I made impressions about within the last month. They are going to be posting 2 of my reviews on their site sometime this week. When they become available online, I'll give those whom are interested the name of the site. Until things fully go through, I'm not saying anything.
Finally I have this great opportunity to get my game reviews into the hands of a wider audience.
Guys, 2006 has been a really bad year all around for my family and I finally feel like God is turning things around for us.
