Right now I'm leaning towards UCSB, Cal Poly, or UCLA. I think I've got a good chance of getting into UCSB and Cal Poly. I've got a chance to get into UCLA but without a 3.9+ its pretty tough to get in there. Texas is probably gona be too expensive and I'm starting to lean towards somewhere in state.

My cousin and my friend go to Cal Poly, they both really like it there, I'm thinking about going there after 2 years at OCC.

Im a senior in High School in Cali as well. Is your GPA adjusted to a-g grades? If it is thats a great GPA. If not your GPA could be a bit lower. (This takes out all PE and fluff classes). If youve already heard this, I apologize.

As for UCLA, a 3.8 with those SAT scores probably arn't enough. It sucks but its life. Im currently looking at UC Davis which would be a good choice for you as well. They have a good business school and the campus is pretty nice.

Anyways college is right around the corner. I cant wait. Good luck.

Yeah, UCLA and USC are ridiculous to get into, I've had friends with 4.0+ and super high SAT scores get rejected from UCLA.

That's probably because they had nothing else going for them. Good grades + great SAT's dont necessarily mean getting into a good school if you dont have other activities and stuff that you can "pimp out" in your applications.

Ya UCLAs definately a reach and I'm not expecting anything. I'm taking AP US and have a B. I've got a B in Honors biochem(4.0 with extra pt) then As in English and Precal. I'll probably end up with a B in Spanish 3 which would give me a 3.8. I took a History of Rock and Roll at IVC and got an A and since its a "college class" I got the extra point so it would raise my GPA to a 4.0 for this year. So if i keep my grades up I should have a 4.0 for my junior year.

BTW Acid my brothers at IVC(irvine valley college) and his friends at OCC. Where do you live and what highschool do you go to? I go to Woodbridge if you know what that is.

We played you guys tonight in football, I wonder how that turned out.

I'll also be kicking your tennis team's *** later in the year (yeah, right..), this new league we're in sucks. All the tennis teams are amazing.

Ya, our football team sucks. I didn't go but my friend who plays TE scored 2 tds i guess. I'm surprised we kept it that close though.
