There's no possible way they can enforce a lot of the rules on that list. College kids will be college kids, wherever they are, and rules aren't gonna stop 'em. Not to mention some of these rules are so inane and farfetched that it makes me wonder what kinda ship that the school is running.

And if all those rules are consistently enforced, I question as to how Liberty has any enrolled students whatsoever.

I dunno but I violated at least 5 or 6 of them in the "30 Reprimands + $500 Fine" section during the first week of college.

How the hell can they stop you from seeing one of those movies? Almost all college kids are legally old enough to see them, so what's the problem?

It's a very religious school. So much so that kids are sheltered IMO.

Anyways, I don't think I could even transfer there, as I would begin the neccesary work my soul would burst into flames.

Anyone else think something like "immorality" is a very vague rule?

Alco-Sensor test? Don't you use those to help upset stomachs? (I'll be here all night...)

The college from my hometown has a lot of crazy rules too:
Pensacola Christian College Rules

Some of the craziest would have to be:

No local calls over 30 minutes.

As stated in the Student Handbook, leaving campus is a "privilege;" one which the administration will revoke as they see fit.

You may not go to a public library.

Women are not allowed to hold off campus jobs.

You may recieve demerits for having your radio tuned to a "non-passing" radio station, even if you have not touched the dial since you were home.

You may not interact with a student of the opposite sex in any way off-campus without prior approval and an approved chaperone.

Siblings of the opposite sex should not interact in unchaperoned areas to abstain from the "appearance of evil."

and my favorite rule:

You may not wipe "boogers" on the wall. This is being cracked down on.

I knew a few people from the college when I lived there. They were an interesting bunch. I could never live like that, but I guess it's good to have such strong convictions. I feel sorry for the students that have this life forced upon them though.

I don't think I've ever heard of Pensacola Christian College. From reading those rules, I wish I had kept it that way.

Why would someone take their daughter their knowing they have almost no rights.

you hold someone down for too long and once they have one second of free life after college, they go crazy.. ive seen it happen.. too much unstructured ness is the same way/ but the way these schools have their rules lead me to believe, its helping no one

Well, I've never been to the public library in Pensacola, LOL, but I imagine it is because of the reading material there. You probably aren't allowed to read "The Cat in the Hat" at that school, could you imagine them being able to get their hands on "The DaVinci Code."?

true I guess. I guess sheltered living for a few years is better when they get out in the real world and realize a few things and some new truths/ they either go insane or kill others/// lets hope for our sake they tend to be sheltered from the rest of us forever

Music is limited to classical, hymns, accepted "new age" and instrumental, and that distinctive "PCC sound."

Eating food purchased off-campus in a public area.


Possession or use of tobacco/alcohol/controlled substances (includes glue).
