Ironic that the poster with 23,600 posts calls that thread "spam."
I know, I know. This is a video game website right? We went through this when the EE forum was taken away.
Well lets be honest OS, this place isn't exactly on fire all the time. There are probably only 4 weeks out of the whole year that I even bother to look into the sports video games forums, whenever the new Football/Bball/Baseball/Hockey game comes out.
Only thing that makes OS any better than another video games or sports website is because all the posters know each other pretty well because of threads like that. If you take that away OS is lame.
"Hmmm I think I'll go to OS and check out the MVP baseball forum and see if anyone has posted anything at all in the past 2 weeks" is not something that goes through my head when deciding to visit OS. It just doesn't sound that appealing.
Just when I was considering finally donating (like 40% of this broke college students bank account) because I like this place, OS goes and says "screw you" to all the people that MAKE this website what it is. Without the core posting group this place is nothing, how does OS not realize that??

Why would I donate to this site when 1) Apparently nobody cares about what the posters like, 2) This place could be a serious cash cow if it wanted to be anyway, and 3) There is absolutely nothing interesting to read here for at least 30 weeks of the year....????
I had completely lost interest in OS until I started reading that thread, and dont have much of a reason to bother visiting without things like that and I know a bunch of other people feel the same way.
[hedberg] Screw you Mods, THIS OS neighborhood has a "WTHIOYM" thread in it. [/hedberg]
I know, its just one stupid thread that has nothing to do with the reason this website exists. But as far as I can tell it wasn't hurting anybody and it can only be good in terms of OS traffic and popularity.
gay.
goodnight, canada.
