    I thought I was done

As a birthday/Christmas present I got the Xbox 360 from my dad. I was not expecting to get anything other then that. The other day he asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I told him just get me a sweatshirt of one of my favorite sports teams. He told he went to a couple of stores and could not find a sweatshirt of my team in my size.

I was looking at the Best Buy add at the kitchen table and he walked buy and pointed to the Ipod and asked me what it was (my dad is not the electronics guy). I explained to him what it was and he asked me if I had one. I told him no. He then asked me do you like them and I told him yes. He then proceeds to tell me if you would like to get one I will buy it for you for Christmas. I was shocked. I was not expecting any major present since he already bought me the 360. Needless to say it will be a very Merry Christmas this year.

Thats the best part of the Holiday season - giving. I'm sure your Dad loves seeing you receive things that you want.

My dad is a very generous person. The funny thing is he never wants anything so it is so hard to buy for him. He is definately not a electronics person so a digital camera or something like that is out. He has so many clothes so that is not a good idea. He is not a sports fan so tickets to an event are out. I want to get him something nice but have no clue what to buy him.

That almost describes my dad exactly as well. The only difference is that he is a pretty big sports fan, but he doesn't like to go watch sporting events, so I still can't buy him tickets to anything.

This year he has a coffee maker and NFL gear coming to him.

My present to my dad is we are going to have our picture taken together. We have not done that in a while.

Re: I thought I was done

Agreed that giving is the best part of Christmas. Usually each Christmas, I get my parents a movie each of their choice, and that's all they ever really want. Well this year, having a lot more money to spend at Christmas time, I asked what they want. They said all they wanted was POTC2 together, and that was enough. I let them know i'd get it. However, I didn't let them know that I also picked up Supernatural Season 1 (they both LOVE the show) for them together, a new puzzle for my mother, and a new leatherman for my father. Needless to say, i'm so much more excited to see them open their presents this Christmas than I am to see what I am getting.

And then there is the engagement ring i've had on layaway and just paid off for my girlfriend that she didn't know about
