I would get an external hard drive. They're pretty cheap now. You can get a 300 gig drive for around $100-$150.

Well, if you want your new computer to be your default computer, then you have to take a few steps.

      - Open iTunes and put all of your songs in the library for iTunes.

      - Plug your iPod into your old computer, open iTunes and check the box for "Manually Manage" (or whatever it exactly is)

      - Select and drag all the music you want in the library section, and drag the songs to the iPod icon on the left menu.

      - Update the iPod and it should move all the songs to your iPod

      - Go to http://www.kennettnet.co.uk/software/podutil.php and download the PodUtil software on to your new computer. It's free, even though they will keep asking you to make a donation to them.

      - Once you get that all set-up, plug your iPod into the new computer. They will give you the instructions for transferring the songs over.

I had songs on my home computer that I needed to get on my laptop, so I did all of that above, and now I have them on my laptop
