If you're wanting to gain muscle mass, definitely, you have to eat. If nothing else, drink a protein shake if you can't stomach eating. Eating high protein, etc is what you need after working out. If you've just started lifting, then it's common to not be hungry. Your appetite will come back... but try and eat...

Re: For all you guys wanting to gain muscle, size, etc.
Well after one week of heavy drinking of water and juice, I'm starting to notice a slight difference. I didn't lift any this week but will resume that Monday. Hopefully in 1 month I'll really be able to see a difference. I've allowed myself at the very most, 1 soft drink per day. And so far, I've given into that twice in 7 days.Twitter

Re: For all you guys wanting to gain muscle, size, etc.
I've resorted to keeping a food journal. I am giving myself two "strikes" a week. A strike is defined as a serving of something that is not going to help me get to my goal. Like a scoop or two of ice cream. (I have a horrible sweet tooth
Third strike results in a penalty. One mile per strike thereafter, to be completed on Monday of the new week. Strikes do not carry over.
So far, so good. Day 2 is almost in the books!
You guys probably think I'm crazy but I gotta finally bear down and get my abs. I feel like I always get close then crash and take a couple steps back. I'll keep you guys posted. Also, my food journal will be 100% honest.
P.S. - My mom's cat just made weird noises and carried one of my socks upstairs. Might be a bad sign.Comment

It says I'm moderately overweight
That's some BS right there!
Thanks for the tip. I'd have to pretty much insert all my meals as "custom meals". That might take a whileComment

Ha, yeah I mean don't pay attention to anything on there cept the food log. I've entered all of my custom meals, it did take time but once you get it all in there it's a piece of cake. I eat mostly the same stuff (I probably have 30-40 custom foods in there) so now I just click and add each day. I use it for the macro's and to make sure I'm eating enough each day. I find that I usually am short by about 1,000 cals if I don't keep track of what I'm eating each day. Plus I skimp on the veggies way too much without it."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: For all you guys wanting to gain muscle, size, etc.
Im taking creatine powder that I bought at target. I took it for the first time yesterday before my workout. Should I be taking it everyday now even when im not working out, or just days that I do work out?Comment

Re: For all you guys wanting to gain muscle, size, etc.
I honestly have never taken creatine, but I would imagine you'd need to take it every day. Your muscles grow when your resting them and they're recovering, not when you're actually lifting. So you're body would most likely need the creatine on your off days. I could be wrong though."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: For all you guys wanting to gain muscle, size, etc.
Creatine is a loading substance... you have to keep it in your system, otherwise you'll never get anything from it. First day taking it, you should have taken twice the recommended amount. Search for "Creatine Loading" on google, see what it says.Twitter - WTF_OS

Thats only for Creatine Monohydrate though. If you're taking Creatine Ethyl Ester then there's no reason to load.
