Re: For all you guys wanting to gain muscle, size, etc.
Came across this and it has A LOT of information. Broken up into different categories, and each category has sub categories on the left hand side. Nah I don't expect you to read it all in one day but I know you are a treadmill head so they have some treadmill info there as well. And something interesting about drinking water as SOON as you wake up and guess what else.....breakfast. But I just wanted to share this with you so we can know what we need to know to fight all of the caloric/laziness temptation there is in this world

Re: For all you guys wanting to gain muscle, size, etc.
It's sad that this isn't common knowledge. People are extremely uninformed when it comes to eating right.
It's also unacceptable IMO that being "big" is now being accepted. I believe people who constantly eat bad should be viewed as smokers and alcoholics.Comment

Wow. Instead of bashing overweight people, tell them how to lose weight if they want your help.My latest project - Madden 12 http://www.operationsports.com/forum...post2043231648Comment

Re: For all you guys wanting to gain muscle, size, etc.
I love helping people with health and fitness, but the cold hard reality is that most people don't care about being in shape. You know why? Because it takes hard work, dedication, and discipline.
If somebody were to ever ask me tips I'd be happy to help them out.
The problem is this:
We always tell people they should stop smoking because it's not good for them. If I go tell an overweight individual to stop eating a hamburger because it's not good for them I'm viewed as very rude person.
This to me is the problem because we accept people being overweight. Your body isn't supposed to carry a bunch of excess fat.
Oh, and the key word in your statement is "if". The reality is that most people could care less about being shape because it's being accepted in today's world. I'm not bashing people I'm just calling it how I see it. I have more respect for people who take care of their bodies than those who neglect their own physical health/shape.Last edited by Guest; 11-05-2008, 08:53 PM.Comment

Re: For all you guys wanting to gain muscle, size, etc.
IMO the three mandatory classes that should be taught in every grade school/middle school/HS are:
1 - Nutrition (the real truth on calories, what to look for in foods you buy, understanding those fancy ingredients and what they are, etc)
2 - Fitness (more than gym and health class, something besides kickball and badminton)
3 - Finances (the basics at least, how credit cards work, loans, savings, investing)
Try to get kids to think long term when they're young, explain to them how damaging it can be if you do not properly manage one of these areas of your life. I know it's very hard to get kids to see the big picture and not live in the moment but we need to try.
These should be taken every semester in some format, they are the most important three areas of peoples' lives in this day and age, IMO.
When did I say I wouldn't help if asked?

Re: For all you guys wanting to gain muscle, size, etc.
While this is true most overweight people have underlying issues that cause them to do that stuff. Others just don't care. But most of the overweight people that I've seen have a reason that they turned to food just like a drug addict has a story of how they turned to drugs.
I have sympathy for those that try and can't be in shape, I truly do. BUT, some people find any excuse they can to be out of shape.
I would need to see some sort of documentation/research to believe what you said because I think that's a bogus claim.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say about 1 out of every 5 people who are overweight have a physical condition attributing to their current physical state. I really think it's less too.Comment

100% false. Most overweight people are lazy and/or uneducated and/or just don't care.

Re: For all you guys wanting to gain muscle, size, etc.
You said that most people who are overweight have physical problems to cause them to be overweight. And where in the world did mental handicaps come from? What are you even talking about? What haha?
You never said anything about personal experience and I'm not asking you to video tape anything. I'm just saying provide some evidence for your claims. Don't you realize this world is full or science and research which thrives in health and nutrition?
Once again, don't talk about things you don't know about.Comment

Where did you get physical handicaps from? I said most have underlying problems (mental usually, could be physical) that turn them to being overweight just as a drug addict turns to drugs.
Again please ask questions if there's something that you don't get before you make judgements. My latest project - Madden 12 http://www.operationsports.com/forum...post2043231648Comment
