Im entered into this contest on a sports talk show *The Mac Attack* that I listen to every weekday. 64 man tournament playing Madden 07, and the grand prize is a big *** TV. Forgot how big, and countless other prizes for people that place high. So next Sat at 3pm I hope to make OS proud and at least win a game. Might be hard considering its on the PS2, but I will give it my best shot.

PS2 is the cheese system next to the Xbox.

Im not expecting to win. Mostly just to have a good time, and slam a few drinks with some listeners and the Mac Attack Crew.

I did one of those a few years ago, finished in the final 4, got cheesed to death in the game I lost, and vowed to never do it again, it just wasn't fun.

Whatever you do, it is imperative that you shout "POP POP!" directly in your opponent's face whenever you make a play.

Also make sure you dance around like an idiot, and scream to everyone around you about how good you are.

The one cool thing when I did it was they set up the PS2's on a bunch of TV's and we played our games, the final 4 was played on the bar's 100" screen. We played 3 min quarters, and we drew teams from a hat. I drew the Broncos for game 2, and the guy I played literally wanted to fight me afterwards. He ran, get this, 1, yes, 1 offensive play. I ran with Portis over and over and over again. Scored with 3 seconds left in the first half. First play of the 2nd half, I picked him off, ran with Portis till the last second ticked off, won 7-0

I plan on doing what the Chiefs tried to do against the Colts. Just run the football down whoever's throat. I might even pull a Dan Henning and run a draw on 3rd and 12. LMAO!

When there are prizes involved, you've got to pull out all the stops. Forget that it's a football game. It's just a video game now, and you need to do anything and everything the game allows to have more points at the end than the other guy... nanos... whatever. You know the other guy is going to bring out all the stops. Be ready to throw the ball to the flats a lot.. Good luck!

As far as getting familiar with the controls.. I'd only played 2 or 3 games of NCAA on the PS2 in my life (I had an XBOX) and entered an NCAA tournament on PS2, and finished second. Lost 35-28 in the finals, although it was 35-21 until I scored with about :30 left. So it's doable. Only a couple buttons will throw you off... I remember at one point in the title game I had a wide open scramble for 20 yards and accidentally threw it away... lol

That's good to know. I haven't played a PS2 in almost a year and a half. I just need probably bout 1/2 a day to really feel comfortable with the controls, and forget its not a 360 controller.

Dang, Diddler.... You still listen to that sorry show? I tried to give Mac a chance after Penner left/got dismissed, but I couldn't handle it... It seemed like the whole show was about insulting Gump or T-Bone, or looking for an excuse to play that little "First time callers are so hot" bit...

Yep. I love it actually. I can't stand Primetime now though. I'm one of Mac's "boys" now.
