    Vacation Packages

    Hey guys...

Just wondering what websites you guy book your vacations on. Im going to the Algarve for a month in July-August so I dont really need anything 'special', but I'd like at least 3*. Me and my girlfriend, who is also going to the Algarve, want to go somewhere hot during spring break (the week of the 19th). We're looking at anywhere with water--Florida, Mexico, Cuba, DR, w/e-- as long as we get a decent deal. We'd consider going to NYC or Las Vegas even, depends on the deal.

Ive tried expedia but its meh. What do you guys use?

I usually deal with Apple Vacations (www.applevacations.com). They'll handle everything.

If the cost is feasible and it's what you're looking for, I highly recommend an all inclusive trip. Everything is paid for up front (plane, lodging, all meals, all drinks etc...).

My wife and I are going to a resort called Swept Away Couples in Negril for the same week the poster mentioned. In total it wasn't that expensive considering it covered air fare and an all inclusive trip.

Since you mentioned Spring Break, I'll presume you are younger, so Sandals Beaches resorts may be a good option for all inclusive, and there is always their couples only resorts as well. I'd highly recommend using a travel agent, especially given the timing to find the best air fare.

Go on a cruise. I can't recommend that enough.

Yeah the all inclusive trips aren't that expensive considering what you get. I think I spent about $3500 for my girlfriend and I when we went to Mexico this past summer. However, I think the original poster is a younger guy so I know it isn't always feasible to spend that much.

If you have a AAA membership then I HIGHLY recommend going there and at least talking one of their travel agents. My wife and I booked our honeymoon to Hawaii through them a few years ago, and now we're in the middle of booking a trip to Europe. They handle everything, and can usually get you some really great prices. Friends of ours booked almost the same trip to Hawaii that we did, but did it online on their own. They ended up spending almost $2,000 more then us!
