    Staying Warm Tips?

My family plays a annual football game the day before the superbowl every year. Its our chance to get the adults and kids together. I just looked at the weather report for chicago on saturday and its High of 5 and a Low -7 with 20-25 mph winds.

Im planning on wearing about 3 layered Under armor long sleeve shirts and I have a hand warmer from my football days, so I should somewhat ok, but keeping hands and toes warm can still be a pain. Anyone know any tricks?

wool socks, nice gloves, make sure you wear something on your head so you don't lose all that heat out of your head.

You live in Chicago and need advice on staying warm? Isn't that like someone who lives in the desert asking where they can find sand?

            Wear a hat.

            Take care,

Rarely if ever does the temperture here in chicago go below zero.

Are you serious? This is like a yearly thing to me. You layer up and man it out. I had food poisoning at one time in december with the temps below zero. I remember them hauling me into an ambulance without my coat and I felt like a poscicle for the rest of the day.

I think the key phrase is man it out....

If it is cold out....grow a pair and stop complaining.

True, but it does go into the teens often. I cant remember the last time it was this cold (the news said 1997) though. When we hit the 30's again its gonna feel like a heat wave.

Wasnt this suppose to be a El Nino year?

As far as staying warm, layers and grow a pair.

I have no problem staying warm, its staying warm and maintaining flexability when playing sports outside.

Hell I can wear short sleeves around 30 degree's, below zero with -30 wind chill is a whole different animal.
