I definitely get the RWD version... you will regret losing 100 ponies.

Once you get snow tires you should be fine. Especially new cars have that stability control and other fun toys, especially top end Lexus cars.

Yeah that's what I'm leaning towards. I figure there are only a handful of days in Pittsburgh where it gets real bad and I'd want the extra 100hp in the fall/spring/summer. I could always just call in sick in the winter if it was horrible.

There were some terrible snow storms here this year and while everyone was swerving and all that I was riding through calmly. I would recommend these tires:

Dunlop SP Winter Sport M3. I paid $280 for each tire in the front and $250 in the back since the Z has different sizes from front to back.

Kind of expensive but well worth it as I had no problems in the snow.

As long as you have some practice driving RWD, have some snow tires, and a high end car like the IS you shouldn't have any worries.

I too want to buy a Z, but that won't happen for a very long time.

Yeah, snow tires should help a lot. I know on the newer model Mustangs, they help a ton. I don'tknow how much they would have helped mine, but it was too expensive to begin with. Insurance wise, that is. Grand Prix shouldn't be as much, plus I don't sacrifice power.

It finally happened, I got my car.

Me, my dad, and his buddy went to a auction today just to browse and hope we can get the car I want, usually ends up being a no. Not today. Came home with a 2003 Ford Mustang. Car is in great shape, and looks amazing. Only 40,000 miles on it and we got it for a mere 7,200. Needless to say, i'm ecstatic.

Finally got to drive it. Smooth, smooth ride. Just loved it. Of course tomorrow I will give it a wash, even if it doesn't need it; shine the tires, and vacuum the inside.
