I envy you WTF. In my younger days we would go all over to scary (supposedly) places. I watch every ghost hunting show I can. I'm really into it. If I could make a living at it I would quit my job in a second to go after it.
      I simply love that field.

I'll never forget when I was 19 years old and my brother, a friend of ours, my wife (who was my girl friend at the time), one of her friends, and her friends boyfriend went into Bachelor's Grove. It was during the day, but it was creepy as hell. As we walked into the path of the forest, you couldn't see any of the sunlight creeping through the trees either. You could really sense that there are supernatural spirits there.

We make it to the old cemetary near the pond. Just a note, that pond is where gangsters in the 30's, 40's would dump dead bodies in. We made it into the cemetary which only has tombstones left, but no bodies. My stupid bother takes a leak on one of the headstones. We were telling him not too, but he did it anyways.

A few nights after our trip, for a week straight my brother would wake up in the middle of the night seeing a ghost at the end of his bed. That was freaky, as I never saw the ghost, but it freaked me out none the least. We wonder if it was the ghost that he watered the tombstone of.

Everytime that I drive past the Midlothian Turnpike which is the main street off of the forest preserve, I cringe in fear, and also look into the woods as I drive by. I live in the area and I am only 5 minutes away, so just the thought of being near by is freaky enough.

-I've heard of stories of people seeing ghosts in the forest and even on the side of the street.

-While people are driving, their car gets hit like in a car accident. But when they get out of the car, there is no damage or car near by.

-There are balls of light in the forest that people see.

-I once heard of a story that there was a pizza delivery guy that had his whole body skinned and then his spine was ripped out of his body in this forest.

-There is devil worshipping going on in there.

This ranks on some lists as the most haunted place around the world. Back on September 23, 2006 a Restoration Project was to start to clean up the cemetary and forest...............but it was cancelled for no apparent reason.

For more history on this place, check these links out:

Many have seen it for themselves and many have heard its legends. For some, it is a place of happiness, where family would once have picnics and swim in its pond, remembering their lost loved ones. For others, it is a place of sorrow and amazement, where people see balls of light floating among

Geez... that sounds freaky as can be...

I can't wait to go on mine. Sorta freaks me out after talking to people who have been, but i'm still excited. I've been to Fort Gaines, which is supposedly haunted, went into places that were restricted due to paranormal activity... and it was freaky as hell down there. Took pictures... NOTHING turned out. It was crazy, I took a picture of my ex's uncle, and he turned out clear as day, but the rest of the environment was like he was in a time warm.. everything was blurred, and crazy stuff all around us.

                Re: Ghost Hunting...

I don't think I have the balls to do what you guys are gonna do. I was supposedly possessed when I was a kid vacationing in the Philippines so I try to stay away as much as possible from anything haunted.

I really don't remember it much but my mom knew I was possessed because I was talking in Tagalog (Philippines National Language) fluently and I barely knew a few sentences at the time. I was supposedly another kid who died in the area of my grampa's village.

Anyways, I would think if i were going to ghost hunt I would bring a dog. I truly believe they have that sixth sense and can sense a ghost around. Everytime my german shephard freaks out, I know my grampa is around the house.
