    Easy Chili
    Brown a pound of ground meat or ground turkey in a skillet.
    Combine meat with can of tomato sauce, barbeque sauce, hot sauce, ground cumin, chili powder, red or green pepper, kidney beans in a large pot
    Let it simmer

    Makes an easy chili and it's good.

    Healthy Tuna Snack
    Drain a can of tuna, break up tuna and mix with olive oil vinaigrette and hot sauce

    Baked Rigatoni with Meat
    Brown a pound of ground meat or ground turkey. Cook 2 1/2 cups of whole wheat rigatoni. Pour a jar of pasta sauce in a baking dish. Mix cooked ground meat/turkey, rigatoni, sauce, and 1/2 cup mozarrella 1/4 cup parmesan shredded cheese together. Bake for 20-30 minutes at 350.

      For me, cooking is all about components and flavor combinations. I don't measure anything unless I'm baking or something similarly precision-oriented, so forgive the generalities.

      Asian stir-fry sauce:

      Rice Wine Vinegar (can find in any grocery store's Asian section)
      Sherry cooking wine (optional, it tastes fine without it, but it's a nice touch)
      Soy Sauce (about 1/3 as much soy sauce as vinegar)
      1 tsp sugar (or thereabouts, depending on how much sauce you're making)
      1 tsp corn starch (make a slurry, dissolve the corn starch separately in a bit of cold water before adding to the other ingredients)
      Minced garlic

      Like I said, just make a "slurry" with the corn starch by mixing it with cold water, then mix it with the other ingredients. The corn starch is just there to thicken up the sauce -- after it gets up to a boil in the wok or skillet, it'll congeal a bit when it cools, making the sauce thicker.

      Here's my basic stir-fry recipe -- I almost always make vegetarian stir-fry at home, but you can obviously add whatever meat you want instead of tofu:

      Red/Orange/Green Bell Peppers (sliced into thin strips)
      White onion (1"x1" pieces)
      Napa Cabbage/Bok Choy (shredded)
      Bean Sprouts (the white ones, not the sandwich style green clover sprouts)
      Serrano chile (minus seeds, minced)
      Baby Carrots (cut in half so they're easier to eat)
      Tofu (cubed, press between paper towels in fridge for an hour or so to drain excess moisture)

      If you want to, you can make extra sauce and marinade the meat or tofu in the sauce before you cook it, but I don't think it's necessary. Heat some peanut or vegetable oil up in a wok (high heat, of course), add the tofu and the harder vegetables (peppers, carrots) and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add onions, minced garlic (if desired), chile, bean sprouts, and cabbage -- cook for another 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add the sauce and continue stirring until sauce comes to a boil. Reduce heat and stir before plating, the sauce should thicken up slightly -- serve with rice or noodles. I always throw some Hunan chile/garlic paste on top for extra flavor and heat.

      It seems like a lot, but really, it takes less than 20 minutes to put together if you are at all quick with a knife. Just do the prep, whip up the sauce real quick, and it's about 5 mins of total cooking time. If you use 2 cups of rice, this will feed you for a week if you're a single person. Healthy, quick, really tasty, and it's all made in one wok, so clean-up is easy also.

        INGREDIENTS:
        4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
        1 tsp. cumin
        2 tsp. chili powder
        1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
        1/2 tsp. garlic salt
        2 Tbsp. olive oil
        1 cup chunky salsa

        PREPARATION:
        Place chicken in zip lock bag. Combine cumin, chili powder, cayenne pepper (can use black pepper if you dont have cayenne), and garlic salt in small bowl and mix well. Sprinkle over chicken in bag and toss to coat. Drizzle with olive oil and toss again.

        Seal bag and refrigerate for one hour. Prepare and preheat two sided grill. Grill chicken for 4-6 minutes until thoroughly cooked. Serve with salsa. 4 servings

          Couple steak recipes I like.

          Take a 12oz sirloin strip steak, season with salt and cracked pepper
          broil or pan fry it
          cut into strips
          pour picante sauce over the steak and enjoy!

          Steak Surprise.

          Pan fry a package of steak tips
          season with olive oil, salt, pepper and garlic powder.
          add fresh chopped onion, and fresh mushrooms.
          Bell peppers if you like.
          fry until onions are tender and enjoy.

            When I was in the army I had a friend there, and sometimes before going home (I came home every day) we use to go get a sandwich or something at the dining room. My friend used to make a sandwich with, listen to this: cheese (regular white cheese we have here, not hard cheese or something), chocolate and egg. Chocolate? WTF?

              I thought all the IDF ate was that meat in a can that tastes like salami?

                Probably my favorite chicken recipe, got it from my dad:
                Smothered Chicken

                Ingredients:
                Onion
                Garlic
                Green Onion
                Bell Pepper(about 1/3 of the bell pepper not the whole thing)
                Tony Chachere Cajun Seasoning
                Salt
                Pepper
                Garlic Powder
                One can of chicken gravy

                Season the chicken with the cajun seasoning, salt, pepper, and garlic powder(as much or as little as you want), then brown the chicken on 350 degrees. Usually it takes a little over an hour to brown it. While it's browning chop the onion, garlic, green onion, and bell pepper very fine. When the chicken is brown take it out of the onion and put the chicken gravy in along with with about 1 and 1/2 cups(using the the can as the cup) of water in the pan then put the onion, green onion, garlic, and bell pepper in the pan with the chicken making sure to spread it around. Cover the pan in foil and put it in the oven for a little over an hour or until the chicken is tender enough that it will fall off of the bone. If you want it to taste better, season the chicken a few days beforehand.

                  Here's my favorite dish. Ever.

                  Chicken and Mushroom in a Creamy Marsala sauce
                  Should make about 2 servings

                  Ingredients
                  2 boneless pieces of chicken breast (thin sliced is preferred)
                  1 cup of portobello mushrooms, sliced or cut into small chunks
                  1/2 onion diced
                  1/2 box of penne or thin spaghetti (fantastic either way, your preference)
                  1 cup marsala cooking wine
                  1 cup heavy cream
                  cornstarch
                  Pinch of salt
                  Olive Oil (can use Veg. Oil)

                  -Bring a pot of water to boil with a bit of oil and some salt. Add in your pasta and cook as desired. Drain.
                  -Take your chicken breast and cut into nice thin strips. Grill chicken very lightly. Set aside.
                  -Put the onions on a skillet with the mushrooms and cook with a small amount of water. (Just enough so the onions don't burn into the pan!) Set to medium flame. You're trying to caramelize the onions and mushrooms. Cook until a nice golden brown.
                  -Add the marsala cooking wine and stir. Lower flame slightly. After about 2 mins of this, add the heavy cream and set the flame a bit lower as well. The sauce should have a tan color to it.
                  -Add grilled chicken strips
                  -Stir in about a tablespoon of cornstarch to thicken sauce. Stir occasionally again, on a low flame for about 5-7 mins. To thicken even more, cover.
                  -Combine sauce and noodles. You can serve the noodles and then cover in sauce but a better way is to add the sauce and items from the skillet to the pasta and mix together.

                      You boys have no idea what you have started.

                      1. Marinate them in Dales or Moores Original for NO MORE then 45mins.





                      2. Get the grill nice and HOT, HOT, HOT.

                      3. In the mean time, mix 1/2 part water to 1 part brown sugar. Garlic to taste (trust me) and a splash of vinegar.

                      Put the chops on the grill for NO MORE then 2 mins then flip for another 2 mins. Basically searing them. Since you aren't working with any "raw" ingredients other then the chops, you need to gauge the thickness of the chop. Now here's the tricky part.....

                      Lower the temp by half and and cook until you are satified the chop will be done in 6-7 mins. Now add the glaze on the topside for 2 to 3 mins. Flip and do the same on the other. Sometimes I'll squeeze an orange on them just before removing.

                      Final product....

                        Lately I've taken sausage, pattied it up to be kinda close to a fast food place, cooked it on my Foreman, and then froze them.

                        Makes it easy to do sausage, egg, and cheese mc muffins whenever you want. Throw the English Muffins in the toaster while you microwave the sausage to defrost as well as throwing an egg on the stove. 5 mins later combine them all (along with a slice of cheese) and you're all set. Just makes it easier to freeze and defrost the sausage, because otherwise it'd take a lot longer if you didn't pre-cook.

                                Bump because I'm making this tomorrow night. I actually made this like a year ago and screwed it up somehow. I think I used tomato sauce instead of soup. It was still good and I recommend it! Also have made the first recipe that Ehh posted in post number 2. Question for stewaat though, it is a soup? Or is it supposed to be thicker?
