I plan on throwing a surprise party for my girlfriend, but I have never done anything like it. Any tips?

Don't have people park right in front of the place. My family/friends had a surprise party for me last April, and it was kind of ruined by the fact that I recognized all of my family's cars parked right in the front of the building.

Buy balloons and a cake and make sure she doesn't know about the party.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

 Re: Throwing surprise parties:

The success of the surprise will all come down to how much attention you pay to details. So for example, don't leave party items (like champagne glasses, beer cans, or whatever) in view of how the person will enter the party location.

Plans things through and try to think of how the person might figure out the surprise, then plan against those things.Comment

 Re: Throwing surprise parties:

Always have a friend take her out beforehand so in case something goes wrong before she arrives (people come late, forgot to pick up certain food.... stereo isnt woking... etc) she can be delayed as long as you need it.

Dont do one of thoe things where she gets home from work at 5 and you tell everyone to be there at 4... things like that always go wrong.

My wife has thrown me 2. When I was 21 she got me a stripper, and when I just turned 30, she did a murder mystery dinner. Both surprised me. and were great times.
