What is there to do in St. Louis?

I'm going to St. Louis for the weekend for the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament, and I was wondering what else there is to do in St. Louis besides the Arch. Is there a cool downtown area? I'm under 21, so bars are probably out of the option. Anything like ESPN zone or anything like that there? Our hotel is a block from the Arch. Any suggestions?

There's the Arch... there's Union Station... umm.... there's Cardinals baseball?

St. Louis isn't exactly a social scene, sorry to say. (Say that five times fast.)

St Louis is alot of fun if....1. You are a sports nut...2. You love to drink
      Here lies the problem
I dont drink that much anymore
All my favorite teams are 5 hours North.
But there really are some good people down here, Like the before mentioned Arch...there is also the Budwieser tour(good times for all) Check to see if the Blues are in Town, always a good time.

Sure, lots of good food, but I think every big to bigger city has their own unique and tasty food style and selection. I wish he was 21, because there are some good Jazz and Blues clubs.

If you're under 21 a pretty cool place to head is the City Museum. It's right downtown in a nice area called the Washington Loft District. It's not a regular museum in that most of the attractions are hands on. I just went there for the first time last month and had a great time. Here's the Wiki page on it that gives a little more info City Museum. If you'd like to go to a club, there is an 18+ club called Ten14 that is right in the same area, located at 1014 Locust St.

Another nice area for minors is the University City Loop. It's a strip of restaurants, music clubs, and stores that is usually busy all day/night. If you won't have a car with you, you can take the Metrolink to Delmar.

What kind of food do you like? You mention ESPN Zone, the closest thing we have to that right now (they're building an ESPN Zone eventually near the Edward Jones Dome) is the Hard Rock Cafe, which is at Union Station.

There are plenty of things to do, and there is a social scene. It's just not the same kind of scene you'll get in a city with 5x as many people like Chicago. Be a little more specific about what you like to do and eat and I'll be able to help you a bit better.

Awesome info. Exactly what I wanted to hear. I'll definitely be hitting up Ten14. I'm leaving tomorrow so hopefully I can find some broshures for directions to everything. As for food, I'm sure we will find something. 5 college students are going, so we're not looking for much that is too expensive. So we'll just wing it for that part.

Any other info for night life for anyone under 21? I guess that's mainly what I'm looking for since we'll be at basketball games all day Friday and Saturday.

When I went down there, we walked through this area right off the river that had a ton of restaurants. I remeber a place called "Show Me's" that looked to be similar to Hooter's.

That's the Landing. A bunch of bars, night clubs etc, and soon to be home to a big a## casino. And yes, Show Mes is a Hooters rip off. Everything looks the same, the uniforms (different colors), the tables and stools, the menus. The wings aren't nearly as good as Hooters though.
